Thanks to Ford for giving a free year of onX we took Buck out to the middle of nowhere SD on some trails and found a spot to cook up some burgers for lunch. Nothing to technical just some mud and smaller rocks.

CRUNCH!

Small cement/plastic pole in a parking lot below my line of sight. Pulled out of spot and crunch - was barely moving. Ordered a new fender and flare, door, lower hinge and wiper fluid tank. Will be painting the entire side. While at it, will be painting the flares (white) as well.

Have been going back and forth on keeping my 22 badlands for a while longer, so decided to put a little money into maintenance this year. Had a new ceramic coating done and found a shop that does dry ice blasting on the undercarriage. Really impressed with how well it cleaned up.

Do you mind sharing how much it cost? And after the dry ice cleaning, are you planning on cleaning up the rust/corrosion on the gas tank skid?

$500. Not sure it’s worth cleaning up or just replacing it at some point.

I finally finished installing my Turn Offroad Chase Light and wired it up to AUX 4! Honestly, Ford really should’ve given us longer wires under the dash, lol. That part was super frustrating, but it’s done.

The brake, reverse, and yellow lights are extremely bright. My only minor complaint is that the yellow lights are more white than true yellow.

Right, lol.

I spent a while trying to find a setting that I liked and that wouldn't give someone one a seizure. I actually may change it to constant instead of flashing.

I plan on only using it for dusty trails, fog/heavy rain, and the occasional tailgaters.

I'd be curious if you could change the frequency of flash and/or brightness of that pocket sun with a simple resistor.

Ive seen the same one on the gen 1 Raptors, they work great in all those, and worked amazingly in fresh powder snow being flung everywhere, also.

Tonight I swapped in some Raptor look a like LED tail lights I snagged off Amazon Prime Day for $160. It came with the proper resistors and wiring to take it from halogen to LED without any coding. This was my 3rd go around with installing Raptor look a likes. Twice from eBay and now my first time with this kit from Amazon. I included the instructions below. It was easy to run the extra wiring from housing to housing and then to the 3rd brake light connectors in the tailgate

Instructions are wrong using only model names ! Signature lights were optional on Heritage and others.
