After patiently waiting for almost a month, today, I attemped to install the Turn Offroad HD Tire Carrier Tailgate Reinforcement, Rotopax mount, and Chase Light. Naturally, I ran into a couple of issues during the install.

First, I was only able to get 7 out of the 8 bolts back into the tailgate. No matter what I did or attempted, I could not get the bottom left bolt to line up. The others lined up without issue. After what seemed like forever, I eventually cross threaded that bolt 🀬.

Second, the chase light was missing two adapters. The first is used to attach the chase light to the OEM tire carrier. Of course I have the OEM tire carrier that requires it.

The second adapter is used if you have a hard top, which I do. It pushes the light away from the window wiper.

I knew these were missing prior to the install. Somehow I convinced myself that I must have received an updated version that didn't require them. I contacted Turn Offroad about the adapters. They acknowledged the mistake and are sending out the adapters which should be here by Friday.

Man that chase light looks good!

I was really looking forward to this install. My purchase was made on May 22nd during the Memorial Day sale. The HD Carrier and Rotopax mount arrived extremely fast, May 26th. The chase light didn't arrive until this morning, June 24th. I was told it was due the wiring harness not being in stock. If anyone is wondering why I'm using the stock tire carrier, the Turn Offroad carrier was out of stock when I made my purchase.

Anyway, here it sits until those adapters arrive.

One thing to note is the weather stripping catches pretty bad when opening and closing the window. I haven't heard or seen anything about this. Does anyone else have this issue?

Yeah I figured that out after I made that post. I also went back to read the reviews on. Some of the reviews addressed it as well.

I am usually good at researching things before I purchase them. I guess I missed this one.

It took some explaining to the wife for her to β€œget it” but yeah after doing it a few times it becomes second nature. Just different than you are used to.

Took mine in for oil change and seat recall at 65.5K. Maint discovered oil leak from bottom front of engine, and will need to pull timing chain cover off. Fortunately bought CPO, so still under warranty.

Love the replies on how to climb in.
Karsa, the RCI 20 deg sliders work for me so far as a thin step, but I suppose the 5 deg are easier.
Daughters can use em so far not yet short wife tested. Will have to brief her later.
Don't want to instigate any cost questions now. LOL
I just love that they are frame mounted and high and tight.

Unraveled the mysteries of how to accec the freakin in cabin fuse panel...
As usual some were loose so I pushed them in like many of the fuses and relays under the hood. Did this with my '21 F150, not sure if it prevents any isses but makes me feel better.
Anyone else seen this or think the loose fuses relays are an issue? Havent found any refernece in my searches, yet. Sorry new to the Bronco realm.

After painting the fenders to match, grille looked out of place. Modular grille isn't quite this one, gray inserts were a bear to get out, but got it done.

Looks good. You should update your profile to reflect the 60th Anniv. Edition instead of the older OBX.
