Do you have any more detailed pictures of the build? Maybe of the new crossmember not installed yet

Just curious if you've seen the Raptor cross member braces.
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/hardware-for-raptor-hitch-braces.110721/

There's also a company that makes a brace that goes all the way across the back but I can't seem to find it right now.
Yes I’ve seen that and in the future if I ever have to replace my muffler I’d consider a compact exhaust to give space for adding similar braces.

Mine is a 2-door, and to do what I did I did have to adjust the muffler location forward approximately 3/4” to give enough shake clearance.

Gotcha. I've moved my muffler forward of the axle to make room for my rear winch.

Nice. I wanted to use a carrier for my CRF450rl. The static load was close to the max but once I did the formula for the leverage effect, I was way over the tongue weight. Went with a nice Kendon fold up trailer. I've had this discussion with a lot of guys who only looked at static load and disregarded the leverage issue. They say it works fine. And it will work fine, till it doesn't.

I agree and I won’t use the typical motorcycle carrier even with my beefed up hitch.

I’ll post my carrier in near future.

I have a trailer, but I posted it for sale here.

My situation is that I don’t have space to keep a trailer where I live and I got tired of having to go pick it up and put it back, before and after every time I want to use my bike.

I’m taking a different approach.

Looks like you could just buy the replacement crossmember and weld it in directly behind the OEM one...the bolts would even line up!!! Im considering doing exactly this.

https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/oem-parts/ford-frame-rail-end-mb3z5f146b
Good find!

That would be easier than what I did as there is a bend in the rear frame that I had to deal with.

I wouldn’t weld anything to the bronco and instead weld to the hitch and make end brackets to bolt on similar to mine.

You'd need 8” bolts in place of the 4” bolts.

Or, if you weld to the frame rails you’d have the strongest rear section. I suppose if you’re out of warranty or don’t care about that, welding is going to be a good option!

I like this ideal!
