I'll just be making popcorn for the inevitable, collective disappointment when GM gets a mule going and some vague design language leaks... and then drops it altogether?
I saw that… didn’t feel it was much difference at this stage & discussion… all renderings based on GM chatter & gossip.

Personally with GM dropping some heavy truck models… no competing with Super Duty F350/450 and all the 6.2 negative news. The reality of this happening… gas hog, Bronco copy cat… might get killed before production.

I wouldn’t buy a GM product if it was the last maker out there. I was a huge Chevy fan and my first car was a ‘75 nova that was 4 yrs old when I bought it. Back then they were a different company. No dice now for me.

Yeah but if it gets Ford off their ass to stick a V8 into the Bronco I'm all for it.
can't wait for Ford to come out with the V8 Bronco that 90% of you can't afford.

Still three years away, anything can happen but definitely going after the Bronco. I hope it offers a fixed roof option I would be interested. I like my Bronco but not the compromises that come from having a removable roof and frameless windows.
Same here. The removable roof panels and frameless windows are my biggest complaints. A convertible roof should be an option. The windows made it more difficult to use bug screening and vent fans (camping), but I managed to figure out a way. And just no to those who say we should have bought another vehicle, those others can't compare to a Bronco.

As usual, GM is a couple years late to the 'retro' party. (think 2005 Mustang, then Camaro and Challenger following Ford's intro).
Some competition could be a good thing....The V8 option should give Ford some incentive to also offer a V8.
I do wish GM would go back a generation to the 67-72 design, those had more style than the bland squarebodies.

Put me down as ""I'll believe it when I see it". GM is notorious for floating lofty plans out there and then not delivering at all or delivering a half-baked product that then needs 5 years of development to become competitive in the market. If this thing gets to market in '29, Bronco will be 9 years into its run, onto a 2nd gen model which will likely offer more power, refinement and ability. I'm not saying GM can't do it, Corvette and Cadillac CT-5 V are proof when they want to GM can astonish. It's just not a certain thing.

I don't get why anyone would want a V8 in the Bronco. Towing capacity is limited already, so hauling a 35 foot boat ain't on the table anyway. And considering that manufacturers are under some harsh mileage scrutiny....they can't have a mid-size SUV getting 15-18 mpg....

The V8 would be working less hard than the 4 or 6 turbo engines.

They could also give it stiffer rear shocks, springs, and sway-bars to actually raise the towing capacity. Certain 5th gens with a 351 were rated at 7,000lb towing.

The Artist's Product: AI slop rendition than can't be bothered to remove the S in the Scout logo it used, nor the Bronco door handles, hardtop windows, rear wiper and taillights
