They could also give it stiffer rear shocks, springs, and sway-bars to actually raise the towing capacity. Certain 5th gens with a 351 were rated at 7,000lb towing.
Ordered!.
Base interior with no heated seats means I need to preserve all the heat I can when running roof off. Too clumsy for the magnetic one I saw for sale.
Hope these can boost my weak floor vents enough to keep me from keep having to buy as much Lamisil 🤣
My toad is back to being the tow vehicle. Got the biggest uhaul and filled it up with furniture finds across Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Pictured with someone else's Super Duty in a similar shade.
Sorry if I held you up in traffic...
Driving into a muddy clay hole as deep as my tires. Quite the learning moment
To whoever owns this Bronco, sorry if you're still cleaning it out years later, no matter how long I stayed spraying it out the muddy water would return.
TL DR Pillar-less windows and electronic parking brake not functioning predictably because of programming issues and module powering.
During engine startup when it pulls all the voltage, the windows decide to go back to their default all the way up position. So if you close a door during this...
Wonder what offset ill need to switch to upfront to keep the width the same. Or maybe a dana 60 in the rear? Also want to know if i can keep a near oem sasquatch or going back to a slighly wider width using stock +55 wheels if they'll fit.
Flat tow incident repair time. FB marketplace for the bumper, lights, and new grille. Borrowed a welding machine to get the bumper to frame connection reattached.
Probably going to leave the hood dent as is.
Eventful last few weeks for the bronco.
Finally got to repay the favor and winch out a Toyota from my tracks on the way to the crabcooker hotsprings in Mammoth. As I had experienced in years past on my own rig, ATs are useless in deep snow even though they rock on packed snow. My newer Trail...
83F today in Joshua Tree NP on Old Dale Rd
I often don't pick the best lines... Here's a video from last Tuesday showcasing them:
Do I need rear limiting straps?
First ever endo going down an obstacle in Sand Hollow after some dune blasting to catch the sunset at the west rim.
And now towing into the Grand Canyon.
Considering they got the tire size wrong in this press release, wouldnt be surprised if this just the ford performance tune standard. But agree antilag for my 2.3 would be sweet
Did you happen to be in coastal Oregon? Here's my rig that fits your description that I too was driving on Nov 21st in the rain. I've found the grass is always greener when it comes to Broncos. When I see a 4 door I'll become envious of their ability to climb steeper and take whoops faster. See...
After my last round of modifications including yukon 5.38 ring and pinion gears in front and rear axles and icon front upper and rear lower control arms plus an alignment with vehicle and slight increase in rear lift height to match the front.
A clunk has appeared that occurs with each tire...
Used Bronco today, Tuesday, while elk hunting private land in Oregon.
Winch came in handy to pull elk ~80 yards up a hill out of inaccessible forest. Might invest in an extra winch line extension after all the time I've now spent rigging extra length by using kinetic and static lines.
Since...
Base gets the big screen now. Nice! Wasn't willing to add the complications of high package to my Bronco in 2022, but would've optioned that screen alone if I could! Nice rig
Made it over the Pearl Pass from Aspen to Crested Butte. Attempted but turned around in 2022 when stock. Made it thru but 'needed' 11 psi and traction boards. Hail storm brought rainbows and a bit of fear. But soil isn't too muddy and basically no snow.
