Is there any way to defeat keyless entry? I only want locking/unlocking from the physical fob buttons and/or the physical buttons on the door panel.

I realize that keyless requires touching the door handle to work. I don't like the fact that someone else could enter the vehicle while I'm 3 feet away from the vehicle. Fob button only/door panel only would allow me to fully control access for entry. I did set the unlocking for driver door only, but keyless overrides this and allows every door to be opened.

A woman parking in a sketchy neighbourhood might prefer that keyless entry could be turned off (I'm referring to key fob sensing, not the physical buttons).

Unplug the door handles.
I like your creative thinking. While waiting for the Bronco to arrive, I had a few different rental cars. They would turns the lights on and unlock the doors when I walked by mowing the lawn.

Yeah the bronco won’t do that. It can sense the fob nearby, but it will never just unlock itself or turn on lights because of it. But there are many vehicles today that will, if setup that way.

Would unplugging the door handles cause any codes to display?

Could you turn it off in Forscan?

No it shouldn’t. But I can test it on mine Monday when I get to work
I'll wait on the unhooking until you confirm the code aspect and/or the forscan action. Thanks for offering to investigate.

You could set your Bronco so only the door handle you're touching will unlock and no others. If I was worried about the neighborhood, that's how I'd set my Bronco. Then someone would have to fight you to get in, and that would be the case even without keyless entry.

OK, but how would you set this? Unplug all door handles except for the driver's?

Nope. It's in the settings.
The only setting I could find was the "press unlock and lock on the fob together" to change it to drivers door only unlocking. This set correctly but did not change the "all doors" operation of keyless unlocking.

Please tell me how to get to the setting you are referring to.

I didn't see anything in the manual to turn off keyless entry. I looked for a fuse as well but didn't see a dedicated fuse for that feature, you may be out of luck.

My Broncos, F-150, Explorer, and Lincoln’s have all behaved in a way that only the handle nearest you (your key) will enable the passive entry procedure. Much to the frustration of my passengers who get to the vehicles before me and has to wait until I grab the handle. I do understand the frustration of the rest of the doors unlocking at that point however. Maybe something in ForScan exists and I’ll try and look a little myself.

Editing a bit, looks like it may very well be a simple BCM entry however I can't cross reference that this line is exactly the same for a Bronco as I'm using the F-150 Forscan spreadsheet and am unable to compare the as-builts at the moment. You may be able to do it with "easy mode" and see if this option exists however. It's Passive Keyless Entry or PKE
