Just to be clear, the extra lights I'm adding will be in addition to the stock tail lights and will function the same as the stock tail lights. I believe in fixing the problem whenever possible. The Bronco fobs are too large and clumsy as they are. No way I want to add extra bulk.

Only one question left. I'm planning to remove the door panels to spray the door seams with waxoil to reduce corrosion. Are the sensor connectors easily reachable from inside the door? No point removing the handles if I can remove the connectors when the door panels are off.

So disabling the capacitive touch sensors would effectively block the key fob sensing? What actually tells the windows to retract the half inch during door opening?

@Ducati1098 did you get a chance to look at the key sensing? Is there separate wiring for the key detection that could be unplugged without setting any codes?

The driver's door only setting sounds good but is a bit odd. If I want to open the rear door (or any other non drivers door), I must use the door panel unlock button after opening the drivers door. The odd part is that now all the locks unlock AND all the windows go down a half inch waiting for...

The only setting I could find was the "press unlock and lock on the fob together" to change it to drivers door only unlocking. This set correctly but did not change the "all doors" operation of keyless unlocking. Please tell me how to get to the setting you are referring to.

OK, but how would you set this? Unplug all door handles except for the driver's?

I like your creative thinking. While waiting for the Bronco to arrive, I had a few different rental cars. They would turns the lights on and unlock the doors when I walked by mowing the lawn.

Is there any way to defeat keyless entry? I only want locking/unlocking from the physical fob buttons and/or the physical buttons on the door panel. I realize that keyless requires touching the door handle to work. I don't like the fact that someone else could enter the vehicle while I'm 3 feet...

26 Heritage, stock equipment. Audio source does not list AUX or USB. WTF? I'm looking for the simplest way to play music WITHOUT needing a phone or wireless device. Any ideas?
