Once the "special edition" is done, and if it seems successful, I can see this becoming the rebranded Lincoln that we have all seen rumors of leading up to this. Question is, what would the name be?

Few ideas via Grok (I removed the ones that were currently used by other manufactures like Odyssey and Traverse)
  • Lincoln Horizon
  • Lincoln Helmsman
  • Lincoln Wayfarer
  • Lincoln Argonaut
  • Lincoln Meridian
  • Lincoln Luminary
  • Lincoln Vanguard
  • Lincoln Constellation

The average income in America is less than $70k. Listen to yourselves.
It isn't being marketed to the "Average" person.
It is being marketed as an upscale option.
It is marked to the person who buys Filson products.
Those that buy $60 T shirts and ball caps.
Look at how many people buy $100k trucks.
To the right buyer this will sell, and won't cause any financial strain or worry.
I am not that buyer.

I love the look of this. Honestly the only thing I don't love is the price, because I'm a poor.
Out of my budget. Maybe I'll find a nice used model in 2030 that was lovingly owned by an older man who didn't actually offroad it & handwashed it once a week before taking it to the country club for dinner.

The presumption that this is a "special edition" and will be finished in a year is premature. The Ford/Filson collaboration looks to be a multi-year initiative. Why else would Ford emphasize the "First Edition"? That indicates there will be subsequent editions.
To commemorate the launch of this historic collaboration, Ford will offer an exclusive Bronco Filson First Edition for North America, featuring:

  • Exclusive Iron Sands Copper Metallic exterior paint color
  • Unique fender badge
  • Custom serialized console badge commemorating the Ford x Filson collaboration
  • Filson-inspired cargo storage bags

This is a Ford Bronco, folks. And this is why most Americans couldn’t find two pennies to rub together if they had to.
But it’s not for ‘most Americans.’ It’s for the fortunate few, who have only gotten richer as it’s gotten tougher for others.

75k target price and this much more appealing than the anniversary edition in every way possible. I think we might see a lot dealer markups on these especially due to 20% reduction from wind noise.

For 75k though.. I think there’s much more attractive vehicles and it would be hard to justify if already owning a Bronco.

The 3.0 is interesting. Diluting the Raptor trim level. Mid seventies is a pipe dream. I bet they debut in the high eighties with dealer markups on top of that. That being said it has a more refined look inside. Too bad about the round fenders, but probably fine for the intended customer.

Why would Ford reveal this with the old center cluster and no 4A on the GOAT dial?

Yes but it was known that this would be a higher trim level.

Totally different buyer than Raptor, tho. Keyword “refined” — as you say above. Raptor is Monster energy drink, this is a single malt. I find it funny that a lot of folks here don’t get that the Raptor vibe is off-putting to a certain type of buyer.

Stupid that you can’t get it in some sort of blue, even if it'd be a navy blue (seemingly more fitting with the Filson brand than a bright color)....and Antimatter is too dark.

I honestly could care less about the Filson collaboration, but I definitely like the features of the Raptor powertrain and perhaps most importantly the ventilated seats that should’ve been around since launch. Some of the other features like digital rear view and power running boards are nice features. I wonder if the washer for the rear view mirror also washes the backup camera (which is another thing I think should’ve been around sooner)?

The quieter cabin is also nice.

I actually think I prefer the two tone top (painted black) over the body color, but I get what they were going for with this.
I'm a bit surprised there's only one "green" interior color (and not a brown-ish alternative).

How about Lincoln Assassin. I like the fact that Ford is filing us in.

It's cool for a Bronco, but will never be Land Rover-esque. I can see two rich lumberjacks buying it for it's intended use and a lot of posers trading in their OBX or heritage for this on a two-year lease to have the new thing until the next thing to hit the golf links and car pool lanes.

More Broncos should have had the 3.0 to start with, not just the BRapter. The grill takes the cheese grater look to super fine. The red/pink/copper is not for me, but the green looks more premium then the Eruption green without copying the Discovery heritage green too much, but it is clearly implied.

This reminds me of the Subaru "wilderness" that they do on their cars to make 20% more money from new colors trims and badges and two more inches of lift and are outselling the regular ones just because we are a more more culture.
