Hey guys, I'm new to Ford, new to the Bronco, and new to FORScan. I love my Bronco.

I'm trying to get amber DRL going.

I'm a computer geek, and pretty comfortable with the idea of ROM programming. So, I was able to get my adapter up and running with FORScan running on my MacBook and talking to my Bronco. Lots of great resources on YouTube, and I really appreciate the enthusiasm of the Bronco community.

The very first mod I attempted was getting my daytime running lights bar on my headlights to change from white to amber. I watched a lot of videos and settled on the code 0101 mod as discussed a lot in these forums and on YouTube (Ricardo's video).

I was really surprised when that 0101 code seemed to do nothing. When I turn the car off and turn it on again, I can see that the code did indeed program correctly and it is programmed in the right module, in the right memory location. But, the lights are still white.

I'm not done trying to figure this out by a long shot, but I figured as great as this community is, maybe someone knew something that was special or different about 2025 or Outer Banks in general with regard to daytime running lights. Any suggestions for troubleshooting are welcome. I'm open to the possibility that I just flat-out missed something and I'm double-checking stuff tomorrow. But as far as I can tell, I did everything as described in Ricardo's video on YouTube.

Thanks again for all the great resources here.

Forscan stuff is tricky. Ford is also notorious for making changes - sometimes even mid-year refreshes will break previously known Forscan stuff, and especially between model years.

Just make sure to keep backups of your originals so you can roll back.

Just to make sure, you're checking the operation in drive during daytime correct?
Because I'm pretty sure they wont show amber until it's in drive, since that is when the DRLs come on.
They also wont show amber at night or with the actual lights on, they will go back to white with the forscan modification.

OK -- so I really can't explain this. I read the status again. Still programed 0101. Then for no reason I just set it back to 0202 hit write again (back to factory setting) and then reprogrammed to 0101.

It worked. No idea why.

So, amber DRL works fine on the 2025 Outer Banks V6.

Confidence restored, on to the obnoxious seatbelt alarm.

Thanks!

Ford has been known to change the codes randomly between model years (and/or mid-year refreshes) for things that Forscan relies on.

Sometimes just talking about helps.

Just did this change to a 24 Wildtrak. Works with no issue. But depending on the sequence you bring the software up and connect the ODBC cable and power on the vehicle you may get a prompt that the vehicle has a custom tune.

That happened after I upgraded to the latest version of ForScan. Disconnected and reconnected and all was normal. Double checked 10 times and could not duplicate the error about the custom tune. Reported it to ForScan.

You can turn the seatbelt alarm off without using forscan. Your talking about it making a warning sound when driving with no seatbelt on?
