Yeah that's gonna be hard to do. Plenty of good solutions. None of them cheap. Even a SXS is gonna run you a good chunk of cash. And the cost of not doing it right and just sending it is likely to be even higher in repair bills (and maybe hospital bills).

Gotta pay to play unfortunately.
Absolutely! I just don’t wanna pay for the name and some bling I want my money to go towards functionality

I’ve been working on a custom long travel setup with Vasher. We’re finalizing the last of the little details and my parts will start shipping soon. 18” of front travel and 22” of rear travel. APG who?

No looming lawsuits either…

Depending on the condition of your W/T may be able to break about even on price, you’ll get a bigger interior and more powerful powertrain, but more age and miles on it
Bigger interior?

👍 I appreciate it

This is my first “full size” off road car I have 3 kids and figured it might be easier to fit than my RZR but unfortunately the ride isn’t the same. I appreciate the input
haha you high speed desert with kids?

My off road KTM suspension costs $6K....it weighs 470 lb with me geared can handle high speed bumps.....

Sit in an F150, then sit in your Bronco

Any seat will do

and if you want to claim the rear cargo - tonneau cover or camper top…

To be clear, what we are doing is NOT bolt on and it is a fully custom design. When we have the final details dialed in he’ll put up more info on his website but each race “kit” will still be customized to the specs each serious customer comes up with. EG -I wanted to go long arm with external bypasses and a conventional three link with a stretched panhard bar to avoid modifying the tank. This will require that I personally do some welding, fabrication, and wheel well modifications when we install all the parts. You could do a bolt on kit and still have an impressive setup, but you won’t be able to go longarm due to pinion angles.

I failed reading comprehension. My eyes read what my mind was thinking…I thought you were comparing Bronco to a Braptor interior. Sometimes, these forum threads start to grow branches lol

I think that you'd be happy with the new Fox 3.2 or the Bilstein 8112s. Both the FOX 3.2 and Bilstein 8112 aren’t about extreme travel, but they excel at keeping the shocks cool under sustained desert use. With large-diameter bodies, high oil volume, and advanced valving, they maintain consistent damping, giving your Bronco controlled, predictable handling over washes, whoops, and rough terrain. I think the Fox's will excel in a rough terrain like desert running.

OP asks specifically about long travel, gets a sales pitch on stock travel with different coilovers 😂😂

I just got back from running the NORRA 1000 Safari and added adjustable trailing arms, fox 3.2 with heavier 450lb/300lb Eibach springs, professionally tuned shocks for high speed desert and a Baja Kits long travel front. I was outrunning all 3 Bronco Raptors but, I couldn't keep up with the F150 Raptors and the OJ Broncos running 18in travel up front and 25 out back. Even with that I wasn't able to attack KOH size whoops. It did handle very well but, 12 inches of travel front and back was not nearly enough. I think those of us who live in the desert and want to run like a prerunner are going to have to spend some coin. Sierra has got it right going to VX offroad and if I would have seen his stuff I would 100% be running his stuff all around. I do think that VX needs to bump up for 3.0 shocks over the 2.5s. They don't fade in the 100+ heat and it is easier for your shock tuner to fine tune larger diameter shocks. If anyone is in touch with VX Offroad tell them to answer my emails I want spread my wallet open for them.
