A Holley 750 is an awful big carb for a 302. Was it able to open the secondaries?
Hard to say, ended up having trans issues and had to sell it, an enduring regret to this day.

Is anyone else obsessed with intentionally over-reving the manual 2.3? The fast and furious inspired tachometer taunts me the way it gets darker and darker as if to say “Watch out, don’t think about it, don’t do it, I told you not to do it!!!” This little screamer is totally the wrong engine for the Bronco. So much that Ford gives us a fake v8 sound as if to apologize for the Mazda derived screamer under the hood. The Bronco ought to have a small v8 that lays over at 5000rpm but with stump pulling low end torque. So now I’m driving my Bronco like a Hot Hatch and loving every minute of it! Probably my “black box” has already messaged Ford and voided my warranty.

Not intentionally. My 2026 2.3L manual has less than 400 miles on it, but in the lower gears it does rev really fast during hard acceleration and I have hit the red zone at least once ... I am still getting used to the gear spacing and best times to shift.

Answer: No
There's a rev limiter, you aren't able to "over rev" without forcing a downshift.

Good for engine zero carbon build up on valves.

If they didn't want you to rev the shite out of it, then they should've stopped the numbers at 4K :D
Just like the new manual transmission 2.4 turbo tacomas. The redline is much lower than the automatic counterparts, almost like a mini diesel engine.

I love the 2.3L. I don't push it, because it's got plenty of horsepower and - most of the time - enough torque. I was always taught that torque is what conquers, and I still believe that is true. Everybody talks about putting a V8 into the Bronco. I'm more of a simple bulletproof inline 6 kinda guy. Like the venerable Ford 3.0L six.

The 2.3L just wants to play, and makes us want to play.

If you think the fake engine noise in the 2.3 sounds like a V8, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAN!!!! TAKE A MUSTANG GT FOR A BLAST!!! The 2.3 fake noise sounds absolutely nothing like a V8!

I don't overrev, but I do redline it a few times a week, the ole Italian Tune up.

Even if its flat above 5.5k, if it wasn't meant to be revved as high as it was, it wouldn't be a stick
