the badlands didn’t come with fog lights so will go with that as initial light upgrade. agree with what others stated about ditch, driving, reverse, headlamps, etc. needing upgrades based on one’s primary environment needs.

My badlands came with factory headlights (capable bumper). The stock lights are fine. I would get some cheap ebay ditch lights... oh wait I did!

Sad that on a 50k vehicle these days. the standard lights all suck. Oh, wait, there's the interior, too!

LOL modern headlights are light years ahead of where we were 20 years ago. I remember Halogen being so much brighter than the old, sealed beam.

I don't do a lot of night driving around town but I wanted to add something that will help me if I need to drive a remote trail after dark.

So for me, the one lighting mod I have done (and recommend) is a pair of Rigid D-SS spots mounted to the mirror accessory points.

The spots send focused light down the trail while side-specific LEDS light up the left and right sides.

Most headlights suck compared to quality European brand ones but they become illrelevant with: #1 quality SAE fogs, they are on 90% of my night driving on and off road… #2 on road are good quality SAE driving lights and off road ditch lights… then some rear floods, rock lights and spots mounted high for high speed off road stuff…

Is it too late to change my answer to two 5-year-olds riding on the bumper holding candles with aluminum foil behind it?

While I have (and like) the Oracle Grill letters on my Bronco, honestly the best lighting upgrade I've made is the interior (dome) lights. When the days are short around here during the winter months, these make it a whole lot easier to find stuff in the dark recesses of the Bronco.

I've upgraded most of the lighting including ditch lights, fogs, headlights and taillights. For driving around town: Headlights make the biggest difference. For offroad or those one-lane country roads: The ditch lights are ridiculous and helpful for spotting deer on my PA backroads. (Note: they are not street legal). My upgrades are Baja Designs and Form Lighting.

I'm considering a 30-inch light bar to sit on the bumper and I think I need to look into some additional reverse lighting. Open to suggestions on the reverse lighting for the Badlands Sasquatch.

Nice!! Is that the standard bumper? Where did you source the bumper light and bull bar?

Without a doubt, the best lighting upgrade I have made is interior lighting. While I use the exterior lights rarely, out in the sticks after dark, the interior lights brighten up the cabin every time I open the door. I went with a set of LED strip lights over the door with a built in grab handle. Double bonus!

Ditch lights and bumper pocket lights, all at once. I also added ditch lights to the top corners of the bumper. Became a priority after I hit a dear.
