Dirt under the seals after use is one thing. New, not so much. Since neither of us know what they will do, pointless to argue it.

How can the dirt get under a seal if it’s sealed?(its rhetorical). I’m just warning you if you go into this thinking I’m spending $50k+/- on a vehicle it better not leak your going to be disappointed especially a first model year.

I think the point that rubs people raw is that as much as they want their bronco they want it factory fresh so they can dunk it in the mud ,drive gravel roads,and park in fields full of mice

Sorry if somebody already said this but I didn’t have time to read this whole thread.How about letting any 2021 reservation holders with access to A,Z or X plans use them and also Ford credit could offer low even up to 0% financing for qualified buys like they do on some of their other vehicles. That would also land Ford credit a good amount more loans from bronco buyers.

This is almost like we're speaking different languages. You' already have the Bronco in my garage when I'm talking about replacing a roof. Keep in mind they will be removing the old dirty roof. You also suggested one person would perform this task. Keeping in mind the weight and bulk of the top, do you really believe every new top will land directly where the old one was and not drag any dirt under it and possibly scuff paint or just plain look sloppy? Even if as someone else pictured a 5 man crew doing this, I believe washing the vehicle first is the way to go. Again, this is just my theory. No need to beat it to death.

If there's an OBX sitting out there that's even close to my build I'll trade the owner for my reservation. If the batteries bad I get it replaced under warranty, and I'll even pay to get the oil changed just for giggles. There's nothing wrong with those Bronco's sitting. Cars have sit outside in driveway for years, and nothing degrades.

I wonder how many will show up at dealers with rust spots on the frame from the MI snowfall. Who else is excited to pay >$50k for a new vehicles that's been sitting for 6 months with a rusty under body? horray

And there have been plenty of ideas thrown against the wall for additional compensation that people think they are due. It's not going to happen. Ford is giving people up to $1100 worth of pass points and that is it.

I’m not sure why people think more compensation is coming. In December, they gave everybody with an exiting reservation roughly $100 in FordPass points. Then they gave those who had ordered the MOD top roughly $1000 in FordPass points for switching to the MIC top (on the irony).

And that’s gonna be it, outside of the anticipated swag. The MOD -> MIC folks are the only ones seeing $1100 in points. Most people will only see $100 in Ford Pass points. Nobody is getting anything for this latest delay, other than more swag. And that’s because Ford believes they don’t have to. Don’t like it? Cancel, and somebody else will buy it.

It’s not a very customer oriented solution, but it is what it is.

I don't want any compensation or swag (and haven't gotten any anyway)... However, I would like to know if I can use FordPass's roadside assistance to tow my Bronco off of Dirt Mountain!

This only applies to the Bronco's under MAP jail. Since Ford has made it clear that they won't be received replacement MIC until October. Realisticly end of October or even November since they tend to over promise and under deliver. And we can expect them to take severals weeks at a minimum to several months; maybe even extending into 2022 for these #badbatchbronco for their tops to get replaced. So these Bronco's will be sitting at MAP at a minimum for 4 months to 6+ months plus another 4 weeks for delivery before they get delivered to dealers likely stretching into 2022. So is it really acceptable to take delivery of a 2021 "badbatchbronco" in 2022 for the same price, when they are building or maybe even deliverying the 2022 Bronco's. They are basically year old models with possible water damage from the leaking tops and the mechanical/physical deteriating components for being exposed to the elements and not being driven lubricating all the parts/seals. We are still expected to pay the same for a 6 month old Bronco that's been sitting and will instantly take a year hit on depresiation versus. I would rather put a new order in for a 2022, have it built and driving it within a month. But that's only if we can keep our original reservation time stamp. Anyone else think Ford should financial compense us 2021 builts since they won't be able to be bought until the end of the year which will put most of us in 2022 and buying a 2021? Thoughts? Anyone else not happy about buying a badbatchbronco that could have possible interior damage not noticable or worried about the mechanicals components sitting idle for such a long time without some sort of model end discount or incentive? Year end discount, rebate, trade-in assist, ford pass points or some sort of extended warranty? Or do you just don't care?

personally, no compensation is due.. especially financial. Precovid times you could have cars sitting on lots for about the same time length barely driven (and if they were driven, probably poorly) Ford will do a QC check before they are released and when one picks it up id double check before signing for it. If my truck was sitting on the lot now id argue and haggle for an extended warranty though. There was also a tweet put out that the broncos are going to be moved out of the lot and into a garage.
