Yes diesel and deleted. I'll go the other route and say the less fuel used the less chance for contaminates. We have rural fire trucks with 6.7l scattered all over the county that sit for over a month at time sometimes more. DEF issues are the only common issues we encounter.

Exactly this. I think they're likely giving themselves a buffer this time with hopes some will start shipping at the end of September and they'll be through the bad batch by the end of October. If they're not then they need to give up..

And that the DESIGN hasn’t changed, and that the SUPPLIER hasn’t changed, and that it is only a thicker application of the material + an edge sealing process that is going to be used? And that the new tooling required to accomplish this isn’t even in the Webasto plant yet?
….And you believe that Ford and Webasto are going to be able to crank out the higher quality MICs at a rate that is 10x faster than the original?

Could not disagree more. New vehicles are a depreciating asset. They get less valuable every day. Ford needs to ship the vehicles now and ship the tops when available. Let's see them do the right thing instead of the easy thing. If they had tested the tops to begin with they wouldn't have this problem. Now we are paying the price.
Old def for sure will mess with the emissions crap, I run supplement every tank for the crap diesel in my 6.7
They won’t wash them, they pay the dealer to do that. They also won’t change them outside they’ll bring them inside. One person can have the top off in 15 mins. A lot of people are underestimating what Ford is willing to do to get these to the customer.

It will likely take longer to drive them over to a refit station than do the swap. Four or five people on each vehicle, the driver probably never even gets out, 5 minutes. Multiple stations, it goes as fast as the tops are available. Remember there are no roof racks, etc to work around for the most part.
That's what I thought as well, however, I was moved to 8/30 2 week ago and only moved once. That was the round of scheduling that saw people moved twice in the same weekend. Guess I will find out in a couple more weeks if I get built and exiled or postponed again. Not sure which is better or worse.
Only true to a point. Ford had zero incentives on 2020 vehicles until April of 2021. Ford literally announced factory incentives on 2020s the day I drove to the dealership to "have a chat" with the Bronco rep.
In a normal, situation washing is part of PDI. With these sitting, there's sure to be dirt around the sealing edges of the top and likely some of it will end up under the new seals and lead to leaks or noises.
Your thinking way to much into it. Dirt is supposed to be on the outside of a seal that’s the point of a seal. If your worried about leaks is a removable top vehicle right for you? They all leak
Dirt under the seals after use is one thing. New, not so much. Since neither of us know what they will do, pointless to argue it.
