You mean they will have the MIC production/quality bugs worked out, ready to start the mass production ramp up?

That jives with Esteban repeatedly stating "October" for the Dirt Mountain Gang.
I'm curious how quickly they can work through those 2 or 3 thousand Broncos.

Has that number actually been stated anywhere?

Also, Some of the Dirt Mountain Gang are soft tops, what's up with that? Shipping or other QC holds?

You guys do remember that 40 MICs/day were Webasto’s previous numbers? And that the DESIGN hasn’t changed, and that the SUPPLIER hasn’t changed, and that it is only a thicker application of the material + an edge sealing process that is going to be used? And that the new tooling required to accomplish this isn’t even in the Webasto plant yet?

….And you believe that Ford and Webasto are going to be able to crank out the higher quality MICs at a rate that is 10x faster than the original?

Well, at this point, I think you're way ahead of the facts, or anticipating a worst-casescenario. My OBX was built July 22, and if I get it by November 22, 2021, thats 4 months "old". My current F150 was Built June 8, 2016, and I bought it October, 2016, 4 months Old. So if I receive my Bronco by Thanksgiving, thats sad, but its not a "year-old vehicle!"

Now, if we don't take delivery until 2022, for cars built 6 months previously, you would have a case for some additional concessions from Ford. But right now, perhaps you're overstating the case . . . Or preparing for a good bargaining position? I guess we'll know more in a month or two? Let's see if Ford can get a new batch of tops up and running by this Fall!

Since when is parked bad? It's not like these broncos are a gallon of milk with an expiration date lol. I've driven my 12' f350 one time since April when we hauled our 66 to Super Celebration and that one time was at the end of April even. I don't understand concern over them sitting. That's what vehicles do, just some more than others.

If it’s a diesel you really should drive more than that,the fuel systems are so finicky and it’s 10k to replace it all.

I think it will be running by 3rd week in sept as in building sellable tops. I also think by the last week in sept they clear out dirt mountain. I’m pretty sure Ross said 2200 are parked that’s what I was told. If they planned on running 1100 Broncos a day they could clear

This only applies to the Bronco's under MAP jail. Since Ford has made it clear that they won't be received replacement MIC until October. Realisticly end of October or even November since they tend to over promise and under deliver. And we can expect them to take severals weeks at a minimum to several months; maybe even extending into 2022 for these #badbatchbronco for their tops to get replaced. So these Bronco's will be sitting at MAP at a minimum for 4 months to 6+ months plus another 4 weeks for delivery before they get delivered to dealers likely stretching into 2022. So is it really acceptable to take delivery of a 2021 "badbatchbronco" in 2022 for the same price, when they are building or maybe even deliverying the 2022 Bronco's. They are basically year old models with possible water damage from the leaking tops and the mechanical/physical deteriating components for being exposed to the elements and not being driven lubricating all the parts/seals. We are still expected to pay the same for a 6 month old Bronco that's been sitting and will instantly take a year hit on depresiation versus. I would rather put a new order in for a 2022, have it built and driving it within a month. But that's only if we can keep our original reservation time stamp. Anyone else think Ford should financial compense us 2021 builts since they won't be able to be bought until the end of the year which will put most of us in 2022 and buying a 2021? Thoughts? Anyone else not happy about buying a badbatchbronco that could have possible interior damage not noticable or worried about the mechanicals components sitting idle for such a long time without some sort of model end discount or incentive? Year end discount, rebate, trade-in assist, ford pass points or some sort of extended warranty? Or do you just don't care?

I agree 100% Ford knows that everyone will wait and they don't care if they don't. It is total B.S.

It's just odd to see some people think Ford is somehow going to catch lightening in a bottle come September when they have failed at every other deadline they've set. People are reading a lot into what was said on the conference call the other day. They think they will start in October replacing tops. They did not say at what rate they think they will have them replaced. As it is now, they don't have an acceptable top. They think in two months they will. Maybe. They still have to make a lot of FEs that require those tops as well. If it comes down to it, you can bet the line will get priority, regardless of what they said they would like to do when they think they will have the parts to do it.

I'll be surprised to see my DMB before mid December.

OP has a point. When a new model year is available, the last year model on a dealer's lot can be purchased at a discount. Dealer needs to move the inventory to make room for the new inventory and why would someone pay the same price for an old model when they can purchase a new model.

So, yes, I would be a little ticked about paying full price for a '21 when the '22 may be released 30 days later. However, there isn't new inventory coming and Ford/dealer has no business reason to discount it. So, I think we are stuck.

My concern is time they will take to T&E. Ross said they plan to have the tooling installed by then end next month. How long is Ford going to take to see if the elements effects the new tops like the old ones.
I feel they should give everyone who’s built the option to change to the soft top so they can ship their Broncos now. I’m starting to lose my confidence the more I think about this.

Seems like if Ford were to allow soft tops on Broncos already built would ease some of the pressure. Someone mentioned that once the Monroney is created, the vehicle has to be built exactly that way, so that may not be possible. The time frame I keep seeing for new MIC is to START in October. Seems it would take some time to complete the over 2k waiting. How will they execute the process? Will a team go out to dirt mountain and simply swap? Will they bring them to a facility and wash them first and then swap the tops and perhaps do a QC on each one because they've been sitting a while? How many tops will Webasto be able to produce in a week? They will certainly be split between manufacturing and rework.

A group of lawyers tried to get me in on their $20 million dollar class action suit against Ford for the roll over issues on the Bronco II.
I was to take my Bronco II to the dealership for inspection and what was in it for me it was a free cell phone and a DVD on the rollover dangers of the Bronco II.
And the lawyers got to line their pockets with $$$$$$.
