These are the topics that, literally, most of the posts in this forum have been about the past few days.

And as far as this "lot rot" everyone is concerned about, do people realize the some cars can sit at dealerships for months? I go 2-3 months without driving my F250, sometimes even longer.

And there have been plenty of ideas thrown against the wall for additional compensation that people think they are due. It's not going to happen. Ford is giving people up to $1100 worth of pass points and that is it.

As far as selling these as new so close to MY22, or even after. If they are untitled then they are new.

For the record, I have a MIC build with an 8/30 production date that is so far holding, destined for dirt mountain exile and will probably be one of the last of the Bad-Batch to receive a new top.
Ummm, no. Ford put a full stop to all hardtop Broncos, and isn’t allowing anyone with a VIN to change their order. Your production is delayed, even if you don’t have an update yet.

Really interested to see how your build plays out. They'll either throw a bad top on it or delay the build. I can see the merit of them not wanting to upset the schedule, just build it and park it.
But who knows....

My understanding WAS, they will not build any MIC Broncos until the Dirt Mountatin Gang is shuffled through. Only soft tops ....and maybe FE's as soon as the tops are available, I'm a little unclear on that.

God, how I wish they had just decided to ship out my Dirt Mountain Edition ..... so frustrating.

At this point Ford CANT update build schedules - because there isn’t one for the hard tops. They don’t know exactly WHEN they will have the modified MIC ready to go (per PREMiERdrum, poss. Oct likely Nov), and then the first of those are going into the Dirt Mountain Gang and Belated First Editions and as replacements for the Already delivered Hardtops… and THEN into the previously scheduled Hardtops…. Of which I too have been a member since June.

As much as I bash Ford, I actually think they’re over estimating their timeline. From what I gather there’s 2200 Broncos in purgatory. They can clear them out in a week easily. Ford is throwing every engineer and tradesmen they have at this issue and I’m confident it will be quickly resolved. I might be wrong but I hope I’m right. It’s odd for me to be optimistic and I am. Also I don’t think they can sustain building 100% soft tops. My prediction is 3rd week in sept it will be worked out.
Exactly my thoughts on this also.

Can you clarify the last sentence?
You mean they will have the MIC production/quality bugs worked out, ready to start the mass production ramp up?

That jives with Esteban repeatedly stating "October" for the Dirt Mountain Gang.
I'm curious how quickly they can work through those 2 or 3 thousand Broncos.

Has that number actually been stated anywhere?

Also, Some of the Dirt Mountain Gang are soft tops, what's up with that? Shipping or other QC holds?

I think it will be running by 3rd week in sept as in building sellable tops. I also think by the last week in sept they clear out dirt mountain. I’m pretty sure Ross said 2200 are parked that’s what I was told. If they planned on running 1100 Broncos a day they could clear

I think the REAL issue no one is talking about is why Ford has NO hardtop options available in the 2021 MY that work. BOTH MIC and MOD are dead? Something more than Webasto is amiss. What happened that both of these roofs never made it out the door (or are being recalled if they did).

FORD: Found On Recall list Delayed.
huh? the MOD was always going to be MY23 or later.

I just searched, Ross was at "2200+".

I hope your right about the timing.
My absolutely uniformed guess-o-meter was putting my July 15 build at end of Oct for the new top swap.

My concern is time they will take to T&E. Ross said they plan to have the tooling installed by then end next month. How long is Ford going to take to see if the elements effects the new tops like the old ones.
I feel they should give everyone who’s built the option to change to the soft top so they can ship their Broncos now. I’m starting to lose my confidence the more I think about this.

There is no way they will clear that lot in a couple weeks. That basically means having all replacement tops in hand at MAP. And these tops will need to be removed and new ones put on by hand. At least an hours worth of work for each Bronco.

Interesting points. Most of my new cars, ive bought end of year models, and the warranty and mileage starts when i actually take posession, and it hasn't mattered. You ask some important questions, though, especially if delivery of our 2021 Purgatory models stretches into December and January, 2022. However, we will hear our delivery dates is September, and we'll have a better idea then.

Personally, however, I regard all this as a Bronco adventure. The world has been turned upside down the past 20 months, as has the auto manufacturing world, and many other parts of our world. So intertwined with my frustration is a sense that everyone is doing their best, and there is much out of our control. I don't have to buy a Bronco, or wait for a Bronco, but I choose to do so. Peace.
But there were incentives on those. We’re paying full price for a year old vehicle we potentially don’t get until 2022.

Yes, I have been asking about this! Is something else amiss with the bronco design in general, with regards to hard tops, or is it just random that both hard tops aren’t available. Did they try to cut out too much material on both to make them light weight? Something else? I think before I buy a Bronco, I’d like a little more clarity on what is up (not that my order is getting built any time soon either way)
