Have any pictures dropped about the mid package? i'd really like to see what the ambient footwell lighting looks like, specially w that top off!!! . Also, very curious as to when people will be able to test drive them to post an actual review on youtube etc . I've been hearing its expected to be fast and great suspension, but unfortunately havent gone out for people to start reviewing. Need to see them soon!
Jeez, my Fiesta has footwell lighting. Are you saying that some trim level don’t have it, or some trim level have Gucci, color changing lights?

The cars name is literally "party". Changing footwell colors are a must for any party. (That said, it was not available in the base model that still came with non power windows in 2014!)

But I'm with you. If it's in a Fiesta...

This is the one thing I didn't think I needed until I used it.

Have it in a 4Runner. Wife likes it hotter than hell in the winter. I like just enough to take the chill off. I appreciate not having the heater blasting on me.

This is a cold weather thing. Having it for AC is less critical though still nice.

Eventually the air all mixes but it's still a noticeable difference from side to side.
You're wrong about it being only a cold weather thing.

If you make the 2-hour north/south trip between Phoenix and Tucson, regardless of time of year or time of day, the person on sunny side of the car will need A/C blasting on them and the other ends up needing a blanket.??

Since I won't be painting my toenails in it, don't see the need...
But you won't be able to see your painted toenails when driving in sandals. lol

I have this in my Ranger and they're a nice feature and it lights up the door handle pockets too. There are several aftermarket kits on Amazon from constant lighting to 80's disco beat to your music.

These have good reviews for $20.00

Nice to see someone that understands the value for dual controls. Interstate 10 at its finest!

I had it in my focus. It's fine. Neat but not a reason to upgrade alone
I actually love the idea that there could be someone out there, paying an extra $1500 only for the ambient foot lighting.
Though I’m not the one to laugh, I’ve been agonizing on the daily whether I should just say eff it and pay an extra $5k for Luxe solely because I want a heated steering wheel.

I want the mid package for the heated seats only. Even though I live in a warm climate my back likes the heated seat on at all times. The dual climate and other items are a useful bonus.

I’m curious about what makes it ā€œambient footwell lightingā€ as opposed to ā€œfootwell lightingā€.

Its on my wife's Lincoln (we both love that car) but its not a motivation to purchase the mid. I honestly don't understand why the dual zone temp control is needed in this cabin.
To me its one of those things that once you have had it you never want to go back to manual climate control. Set it and forget it. I have it in my Mazda; I set it at 68 and I'm perfect in the summer and perfect in the winter.. I never want to fumble around with the 4 fan speeds and twisting the knob to that right spot for a decent temperature

Also in the cup holders and where the door handles are

I think it's just that you can change the colors. We have it on our Escape. You play with it on the first day and a couple of times when you show friends or family who tell you "that's cool" just to be nice :) , then it just stays on whatever color you pick for as long as you own it. I wouldn't even bother buying a kit on Amazon, but different things motivate different people.

I see it as its a bonus for getting Navi, plus I remember for holidays, setting the colors for certain events in my old Mustang

Purple and Orange for Halloween, Red and White to play off the Blue for Independence Day, Green and Red for Xmas, Pink and Red for Vday, etc.

Sadly, no MyColor, but same overall idea, oh, and also illuminated door sills or whatever they're called as well

Ford has been phasing out the color change feature. New models like F-150 are only getting blue. I would expect the same for Bronco.

That's really sad on a product like the F-150, yet it's available on the Escape.
