It's kind of an important mode...one that's used all the time on other trucks in the Ford line-up....so I definitely see the point. No one buys the Bronco for speed, but that doesn't mean you don't want to max the capability of what it is on the road too, and if normal has the throttle reponse like some Ford vehicles and super early shifting, thats a problem.
Thank you! Every time someone mentions Sport mode some people inevitably come out and assume the person wants to drag race and put down 12 second quarter miles. Not to mention the people saying Baja is Sport mode in 4H and to just switch to 2H. I’d love to see where that is written!

Small correction, Badlands and FE get Rock Crawl instead of Sport. BL, FE, and WT all have Baja.
I was referring sport to Baja. I knew BL had Rock

What would you like to see written? That Baja is 4h compared to Sport being 2H?

Most likely a 80+ hp bump here on the conservative side.

As soon as tunes hit specific to the Bronco 2.7, it will negate a need for 'sport' mode.

I would like people to stop passing that one guy’s post as fact when it is pure conjecture. Feel free to research the Raptor’s Baja and Sport mode differences from user experience and Ford publications to see that, at least on that vehicle, there are substantial differences between just switching between 4H and 2H.

According to Raptor owners, Baja is not simply Sport in 4H. I wish it was, but think FORScan can help us with replacing another mode with Sport.

People seriously haven't spent time investigating the tunes available for the 2.7EB I think. No need to 'wait' unless you just want suspension and body cladding. You can create a beast for little money. That 2.7EB in the F150 is no joke. Now sure, you could wait for a 3.5 or something but for most peoples purposes a tuned 2.7EB is way more than enough.

Yea, being in the Midwest, we don’t have a lot of options for crawling, etc...so speed is important
Just push the accelerator pedal down further and you'll get the same effect. It doesn't magically make it faster. Sport mode just adjusts the pedal position tables relative to your throttle input. It ramps in pedal position more aggressively with lighter throttle input. It does downshift more aggressively, but do you really need that?

If it's that important to you, put an aftermarket tune on it or a Pedal Commander if you don't want to tune it.

Getting my 2.3L manual BL now/asap, unless I get pushed to MY22. The Bronco with turbo will have more power and speed than what I'm driving now (Mitsu 2.0L manual 4-popper).

Is that tuner available on other Ford vehicles now, where you can go in and just swap a mode? Eco would be gone before I got it home in that case.

As far as the Baja=Sport thing, it doesn't seem to be the case on Raptor from all reports. The myth that they were the same seems to stem from a made up chart from someone guessing what the modes would be like, that is now passed around like it's a Ford document.
I'll ask our tuners at work and see what's available for Fords. I know when they tuned my car they copied all the Sport mode tables for my transmission (shift points, line pressures, etc.) over the Normal tables. So basically I'm in Sport mode all the time without having to use the paddle shifters. That's a GM though. If they can access the tune tables I don't see why they couldn't swap known values from one mode over another one.

That would be awesome, if you could just go get something like that to replace Eco.

I don't put my Raptor in Sport mode since I had a tune. Cobb tuning allows the mapping of the gas pedal so all the sport tune does is just hold the revs higher in every gear.
I am going with a Badlands and will trade it in at the first opportunity for a Warthog if it is a 2 door.
