What are people doing that live in California? It's my understanding that Granger won't sell to California.
Some companies dont like money they were even throwing obstacles for other juridstictions LOL.

If one does not have $10K readily available at any time consistently then better to buy best extended warranty in the payment, or just do regular maint with best lubes etc at severe use intervals....chances are high it will be fine, unless actually offroad then no extended will cover you anyway.

The dealer wanted $4500 for 10yr/75K . So figure the warranty already included covers 3 years/36Kmiles bumper to bumper, 5 years 60K powertrain. So not worth paying that amount. Like said above, we have a savings account for emergencies. So if you and your spouse both buy the extended warranty for your vehicles, better to just save that money and most likely come out ahead.

Others have said you can buy the Grainger warranty and use a relative address. Not sure how that would play out if you need an expensive repair in CA, when you do live in CA.

Not having read thru all 6 pages of this thread, I can say I bought the extended warranty for my GT350 and it paid off... the A/C quit 5 times. Each repair was $1500.00 plus.

I don't believe I will be opting for the extended warranty for the Bronco next August when it turns 3 years old. It has not had the troubles to warrant the cost of the extended warranty so far.

I think I paid (in NorCal) $2000 for an extended warranty when I bought my 2022 Base 2Dr V6 Auto. I went for an additional 4 years bumper-to-bumper, and 60,000 (since I don't drive that much). That is... a 4-year extension to make it 7-years.

I probably could have gotten it for $1500, but I jumped on the $2000. I think we worked a better deal for my daughters 4-door OBX.

Luckily here in California, the government is always looking out for us, and looking into our wallet... knowing that we are like small children (but with $$$).

Having said that... I have had no problems, but always worry about the additional complexity of having twin turbos. Not sure what I'll do once October of 2029 comes about.

I'm 2 months away from the bumper to bumper 36k expiring, and ran the numbers of buying another one new vs. keeping what I have vs keeping what I have and buying extended warranty. Context, ours has only 20k miles on it. Basically with interest rates being a factor (I'd finance >60% of the price) keeping the 23 and buying a warranty for $1500 is best. Not sure I can get one in CA for $1500, but that's the target.
Our 2.7L TT F150 has 90k and no warranty claims. My logic, if I buy the warranty and keep the Bronco, then nothing will go wrong and I can sell it in a couple years for market value, but w/o warranty I'll have some expensive issue.

Note: the Ford Genuine warranty I had on my other F150 was structured so that when I sold it I didn't have to pay for the warranty or I got credited for the unused time.

Critical to run AC at leat once month for 10-15 min to keep healthy.

We got the Bronco during the employee pricing promo in April ‘25 and they offered the employee discount on the Ford PremiumCare extended coverage too. I opted for 7 years & either 86k or 87k (would have to look it up).

Based on my first 16 months, I’m glad I got it.
