Yes. There are options that bolt in with no mods, including cPE intercooler and CVF charge pipes, which is what I went with (also did Injen CAI at the same time). It really wakes the Bronco up. Pair that with a good custom tune or at least the ProCal and it's a whole different truck.

Are you looking for more performance? If so and what it gives you is worth the $$$ to power go for it. I did the procal tune and I am happy with my power. I am actually afraid with my use to build more as I do not believe the powertrain is designed to handle to much more once you add tire weight, vehicle weight regear and then push the power in a 4L locked situation. I am waiting on my UFD and Ultimate 60 to arrive so I can use what I already have. If you mostly use it on the road, go for it. 3300 rpm locked and sawing aired down 37's trying to find a bite on wet muddy rock ledges.... snap.

As far as intercoolers. If your going to upgrade your beast, this will be one of many so choose one of the great 3rd party manufacturers.

but I will say, getting bigger charge pipes, intercooler, and intake box at the same time will save you a lot of disassembly/assembly work.

You are not gonna make any/much HP in normal driving with an intercooler but better for long pulls/hard use and it would be my first performance mod (after a tune) then a downpipe for better flow…a cai and catback would be last for me…but the 2.7 does pretty good with just a ford tune for shifting and another $3k+ or so for maybe 50 hp isn’t worth it to me (for now).

It will be on my build page. They just gave me a date for building them. Should be shipped early September.

No performance mods make a lot of HP improvements in regular driving. The only real improvement you can make there is programming shift points etc. Power adders really come into effect when going WOT and driving aggressively. I got my CVF charge pipes and intercooler for $990 shipped, not $3k. Great fit and finish and they made a noticeable improvement over stock. As far as I am concerned when combined with a tune it is the perfect setup.

Glad you are enjoying your intercooler & pipes…I said the gains would be at harder use which seldom happens in street driving…but I would like to see actual dyno results showing the gain before plopping down my cash…few manufacturers supply any (or even claim any performance gain)…the $3k+ I mentioned was for the full package of intake & exhaust +tune…my ford tuned 2.7 is not my old 700+hp supercharged mustang but it easily cruises at 85 and has decent enough passing power in most situations so that more performance dollars are low priority compared to actual offroad and camping improvement…but sure, “there is no such thing as too much power”

Waste of money. Anyone who says different is selling something...

It will only show gains on Dyno or drag strip. Anything else in the real world like: traffic, off road or towing may actually be worse.

I've observed the larger intercooler is slightly slower to heat soak. As in not a game changer time delay. However whatever delay in heatsoak is an equal or greater delay for cooling back down.

Where as the stock plastic charge tubes can never heat soak (as plastic does a poor job retaining or transferring heat). And the stock intercooler cools off much faster an possibly does better in traffic or 4wd slow driving. Not to mention the weight savings of stock!

These mods are for ricer boy cars that don't drive in the real world but enjoy pretending to be "Fast and Furious" cast members.
