Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

Scanned my 2.3L - radiator shroud area; harness has 3/4” clearance.

Will wait for Ford info to clear up precise location. This area was of note, below battery.

One area of note is below the battery. Harness close to metal edge, Will remedy it.

I've just been thinking, I have rerouted my passenger-side harness to Everglades spec. I wonder what they'll do with that. That's not aftermarket but it isn't really factory either.

Ford has directed that all measures will be taken to preserve 2-dr Broncos. Moar doors get sent to the crusher.

Out of curiosity, what's the difference between the everglades spec and the non-everglades? Does it relocate that portion that's along the frame rail right behind the pass. front wheel to a higher spot?

Ok IF and that’s a big IF it’s the loom that runs across the beam behind the radiator I just looked at my 23 BL. That loom is held in place with adhesive…could easily be comprised during repairs or water crossing or wait for it…heat from the engine and that loom would then easily become loose enough and susceptible to damage…I zip tied mine in 3 places for piece of mind….if that’s it bet your ass Ford will have remove radiator in repair instructions for access it does take some dexterity to get those zip ties on there with one hand working from the top

Out of curiosity, what's the difference between the everglades spec and the non-everglades? Does it relocate that portion that's along the frame rail right behind the pass. front wheel to a higher spot?

Everglades relocates the washer bottle and DCM to make room for the snorkel tube. Brings the harness down a bit, actually.

Exactly one year of owning a ford after 40 years of GM, mostly Chevy. What a mistake. Learned my lesson. Never again, obviously. Ford sucks, from top to bottom. They produce cheap crap. One time with GM had a trivial recall in all those years. ONCE. I'm at four or five in one year. Disgraceful incompetent people. Probably goes back to the unions.

Hmmm.. i just had an engine harness replaced that had shown corrosion, it was a main harness and it was caused by unknown. wonder if this recall is the same harness... IF so it was extremely time consuming and invasive job. good luck everyone!

It you had read the thread it's not the radiator area, it's the passenger side loom. Per the NTSB and Ford.
