What's the most "worth it" upgrade you've made to your Bronco?

Oil changes are NOT upgrades.

Besides I've barely done a thing to this Bronco. AFE Intake. Some sliders. A roof rack. Phone mount. Skinny flares. It's so stock that it hurts my feelings every time I look at it.

So far the only one that wasnt worth it was the under hood LED strip, and that's just because I got a bad one....


Most worth it is absolutely the interior lighting I added to the passenger and cargo areas. Seconded by the fans in the tailgate.

Fans in the tailgate??? I am assuming you placed them so the move air outboard (through the tailgate vent) creating an nice constant flow of air throughout the cabin...???... How did you power them? as in do they turn on and off with the motor? or do they turn on and off with one of the accessories or manually on a separate switch...

This sounds like a really smart idea. Was it a prepackaged kit? or did you individually source the parts?

Oh that's a pretty solid rule to live by. Any one that solved a big problem and stands out to you?

Whichever one is providing the function necessary for the task at hand at the time.

I have "window dressing" things I have added, just for personalization, but I don't consider those things "upgrades"

soft above the door grab handles for us vertically impaired. Hood struts. All low dollar options that are quick installs.

I added both of these as well as side steps.

But the upgrade I like the most is the Mountains2Metal flip down attic shelf. Got a lot of stuff off the rear floor of my Bronco, and gave me a way to mount hunting firearms and fly rods INSIDE the Bronco at the roofline and without impairing my rearview sightlines.

Ez4x4 rack stores the center section of top so it is always with me.

Do you keep the front panels in the back as well?

The Rockslide retractable steps. Use them everyday and made the 5'2" wife happy.

Soft top assist struts, tailgate table are pretty convenient.
The Ford accessory steel flares are good beverage tables and foot steps for cleaning the soft top.

• ZRoadz sliders - really quited down that noisy chatter from the short legged wife!
• Armrest pad. Hard surface is uncomfortable on my elbow. On my 2nd one, but well with the $20 every couple of years.
• Mesh top - follically challenged at my age, so it's nice to not have my head looking like a lobster after a while with the top down.
• Cheap windows laptop + obd cable + forscan almost have it all configured the way I want
• More lights - my night vision gets worse every year. I'd rather bolt on more diode dynamics lights than go to eye Dr.
• Rear seat back covers. I have a very, very hairy yellow lab. 'nuff said.

Do you keep the front panels in the back as well?

I have a bag for them and it goes in the back. Ez makes a flip for then. They flip onto the mid section and the rack holds both. Not my thing but lots of peopl

How easy is it to slide the middle section on and off the roof rack? I have the hot heads Velcro liner on top of the oem sound deadening. Would that get in the way? I have been contemplating this for a while. How's the wind noise from the rack with the rack when not in use?

Wind noise is no different then having roof off. Mine has factory liner no problem. But it is glue or atixkiie on. Not sure about hot heads. It will work but if velcro on not sure it will hold. Not sure it wont hold either.
