Manual + fabric seats + black diamond: is there any way other than Heritage?

At this point I've built 27374737281 Broncos in an attempt to figure out a factory way of obtaining painted black roof, manual, black diamond and NON-VINYL seats. I prefer the fabric but I guess I could go with leather...I just don't want to pay for a bunch of stuff I'll never use and trying to keep the build under 50k. And I hate vinyl seats that don't breathe.

To be clear, I think the Heritage is a great value. I just know I won't be doing anything more than soft roading on the way to a campsite and do not need 35s. If there was a way I could order a big bend, with black appearance package, black roof, BD and keep fabric seats, I would. But at that point it seems this would cost more than a Heritage. Any secret insider stuff I'm missing?

I don’t think so. Even in the beginning the Heritage was a great value if you wanted a 2 door manual with cloth seats. No manual transmission tax and the mid package without have to get vinyl seats plus a hard top that hopefully won’t fall apart in a few years. Of course now, you are limited to a 4 door and I haven’t checked to see if they added the manual transmission tax back on.

Keep in mind that the "leather seats" are still a lot of vinyl.

Kind of my point, I'm coming from 14 years of BMWs and even their low end leather sucks. I'd much rather have fabric then crappy leather.

You cannot configure this specific combination from the factory. Ford locks the Black Diamond trim into Marine Grade Vinyl (MGV) seats to complement its washout floors.
Because of Ford's strict option packaging, your exact build strategy needs to change.

I love the Heritage seats fabric and pattern a tasteful throwback to 60's & 70s and can attest that with no bolster seats and mid stiff foam fabric is the only way to go. Plus the exterior colors are great.

I'd just get the Heritage, swap the tires out for narrower profile E rated for better handling, get a Procal and adjust it for the new tire size. Will still look amazing.

Say more, I am not familiar with off-road stuff. So I could go from a 315/75 to something like a 275 or 285 and keep the same wheel set? Was worried it would ruin the look.

Just get the Heritage and swap the wheels/tires. You should be able to find Black Diamond steelies with the Grabbers for a fraction of what you can sell your Heritage takeoffs. If the steelies aren't available, then the optional aluminum wheel will most definitely be available. Just have to search the Marketplace - either B6G Community Marketplace or FB Marketplace.

Then you'll just have to adjust the speedometer.

One Strange way to get close to what you want...

Start with A Big Bend, add the Black Diamond package, then add the Free Wheeling package.

Gets you everything you're asking for, except the Seats are Vinyl Trimmed, with the seating area of them being cloth.

The Free Wheeling package can be polarizing though. I personally like it on a Ruby Red or Shadow Black paint, But a lot of folks think it's just too much 1970's vibe.

In the end though that ends up over 50k.

I haven't paid attention for a long time, but originally they wouldn't let you do Sasquatch with a manual. So when you added the SAS it would swap to an automatic and add in that cost as well. So it was like $6,700 or 7 Grand extra. Like $2400 was for the automatic. Once they decided they would let you do SAS with manual, the price to add it to the manual was still $6,700 or $7,000 or whatever it was. They basically left that fluff in there for absolutely no reason. This is one main reason I ended up with a non-sas Black Diamond manual.

In the early days, to add Sasquatch to a Base or a Big Bend, you still paid for the automatic even if specifing a manual. We would call it the Manual Transmission Tax. I don’t think that was the case for the Badlands as much of the Sasquatch package came with it. I tried looking for some of my original reservation orders but with no luck. I originally reserved a 2 door BaseManSquatch but when it came time to convert to orders, they were not allowing manuals on Base with Sasquatch. Same for the Big Bend. That changed in 2022 but they never removed the added price in the Sasquatch package that included the automatic even if you optioned the manual. The same was true in 2023 with the exception for the Heritage as that included Sasquatch as standard. The same might have been true for the Badlands as that what I had switched my order too when I couldn’t order the Base or Big Bend with a manual and Sasquatch initially. I was on the Granger 3 year train so Ford offered us old reservationists Heritage’s without loosing our price protection offer. For me, it was perfect as I really didn’t want the vinyl seats that were on the Badlands. The 2023 Heritage was actually less expensive as a similar optioned Big Bend because of the hidden manual tax still embedded in the Sasquatch package. Not to mention the added benefit of the mod top with the gunners hatch and removable rear windows.

Thank you - this is a solution but as you rightly point out the vibe is quite something. Not what I am looking for in a daily. I think the Heritage + swapping wheels is the way.

I'd just get the heritage and call it a day. The "35's" aren't really a problem. I've seen several videos that have actually measured the things, and they come out to 34.0 inches anyways. That's not a rounding error, that's a flat out lie. Ford and Goodyear are rating those tires in man-inches. Yeah baby, that's 6 inches, I swear. The OEM tires are fairly lightweight for what they are, and will be just fine for daily driving.

Is the heritage overkill for daily driving? Sure, but it's not going to hurt anything. Buy the vehicle with the features you want, and appreciate that the extra is there in case you change your mind.
