Aren’t you covered by the recall of MIC tops?
A recall that isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Since the "fix" is to simply install the SAME top (with no engineering/production changes) to replace a cracked one. As others have posted there are Bronco owners on their 3rd top under warranty.

The bedliner coating might help keep the cracks from getting worse since it is sealing them away from moisture intrusion. I think the other problem with these tops was delamination and while the coating might strengthen these areas it could still continue to bubble or delaminate. Give us a long term update at some point.

Dumb question, is this issue only with the MIC tops? I wanted that top originally, glad they didn't have one I guess. I ended up with the shadow black top or whatever they call it.

Yes, the issue is only with the MIC top. I have seen 0 reports of any of the painted tops with cracking or delamination issues.

Same deal on my Raptor, caught hairline cracks near the passenger rear corner around 18 months. Still within warranty so I'm working through the dealer. Good to know the Custom Coat route is holding up — bookmarking this for when Ford inevitably tells me to pound sand.

Short term update:

just got back from a week in Colorado. The top held up well 2500 miles one hail storm and several rainstorms, it even held up through the hairpins on Black Bear Pass.

I proactively addressed any possible issues with the MIC top on my 23 Wildtrak by having the vehicle totaled in a wreck and replacing it with a 24 Heritage Limited with white painted top.
We did the same with our '22, but it's a black painted top. At the end of the day I'd rather have the '22 I waited over 500 days for back.......I'd take the small cracks to have our baby back!

Black Bear Pass with no issues is a pretty solid data point. That seals it for me — working the warranty angle as long as I can but good to know the backup plan actually holds.
