This is great news, thanks! I believe this is the only recall I have left. Got the blank screen, blank reverse camera, and seat bolts all addressed. This was the only one there was no fix for. I'm curious if it's going to be a software-only fix and then a part will be needed later on? "Partial remedy" seems to point to that.

Last I heard when I asked my local dealer about when the f**k they were going to address this, the service advisor *claims* that the test method to determine replacement eligibility is going to involve essentially filling up the tank, and running the throttle up for an extended period of time (think, an hour or more). If the fuel pump falls over during this time, they replace it.

All of this is supposed to happen with the vehicle stationary.

...With no airflow over the radiator, intercooler, anything

I genuinely hope this is horseshit, because that's gonna be a hard no from me, dawg.

Full disclosure though, this falls squarely into the "my dealership said...." category.

Yeah I'm not entirely sure, but hopefully we will find out soon.

I just called my service department and he said he’s showing the partial remedy was supposed to post today but still shows unavailable. Seems they are just pushing it daily? Waiting on a software update but I am assuming we are also going to get a pump replacement? Has anything further released there?

Still no info yet. This is the 3rd or 4th time they’ve missed the supposed timeline. So all we can do is keep waiting 🤷‍♂️

In your vast experience working as a tech, does this schedule sliding right situation usually mean:

-They are working feverishly to strive for the PERFECT repair that address every detail of every failure and concern so that customer satisfaction is an order of magnitude beyond the industry standards.

.....or....

-They really have no idea what the problem is or the solution to the problem and they can't seem to get some hack job together that will even qualify as a half-assed fix. Expect a recall on the recall repair.

:)

Considering they’re only working on a partial remedy right now, that they still haven’t been able to complete on time, multiple times… 2nd option for sure.

I'm a little more than a 1/3 of the miles in on my second LPFP (8K) to the miles my first LPFP failed (23K). I'm just hoping the fix comes before LPFP #2 calls it a career and retires.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I know we’ve seen a handful on here (including yours) but the failure is pretty rare for how many vehicles are affected. I’ve got 72k on my original pump, and others have even more without issue.
