Hey - This might be dumb, but has anyone installed the OEM mudflaps front and rear with the OEM running boards already installed? I have seen pictures of them with the running boards, but I want to make sure they can go together. I have a 2024 OBX.

We use spacers because the factory steps encroach into the wheel well. So if they don’t fit, you might need 1/2 to 3/4 inch spacers for fit.

I ordered a kit from Mabett for all four flaps, but only installed the front as the front wheels kick up a lot of sand, mud and rocks onto the side of the doors, etc., Work well and simple to install with the OEM running boards. Worth the investment and time to install.

I drive mostly road, sand at the beaches , dirt roads for camping/hiking, snow. Not scaling any major rocks. There are mud flaps that are set up to remove for serious rocky trails if that is your desire.

ther gatorz ones are like 500 bucks, im cheap, i bought the redrocks, which were too short and do nothing, but then bought CHEAP ones from oriely auto parts and bolted them on. if you dont put these on, you will chip the paint on the front doors. THey do scrape on rocks when rock crawling but I dont mind that. I can send a pic of this option if you like.

Mabbets fit well with factory running boards and look OEM. You can buy them with or without the graphic.

They work well for keeping mud and ice off of the doors which in Minnesota winters can get all the way up to the door handles.

The Mabett front flaps perfectly touch the front of the factory running boards.

In fact, the Mabett flaps were shipped with a sheet of adhesive-backed foam rubber that pieces can be cut from to provide a cushion/shield between the flaps and the fronts of the running boards.

FWIW, the Mabett front flaps also just kiss the factory rock sliders.

@DemonGT Broaddict Aluminum Pinch Weld Covers. They work with the factory running boards, but not enough clearance with factory rock sliders.
