The Granger Extended warranty.

Realizing that these posts can become redundant. However, per the Granger site, below. It states you may your Ford to either a dealer or shop of your choice. This is news. I thought extended warranty was for only Ford dealers. Can anyone shed some light on this warranty offered by Granger?

I believe you're confusing two different plans, both offered by Granger.

What you pictured is from "Granger Warranty", and is a 3rd party extended warranty. It is NOT a Ford warranty.

Being a dealer, Granger Ford also sells Ford ESP, which is kind of like a warranty, but really is just pre-paying for service/maintenance work. That ESP is only usable at Ford dealership service departments.

I called them a few weeks ago about this. Regardless of which path you choose on their site - the Granger Ford Protect URL, or the Granger Warranty URL, if you are doing an extended warranty for a Ford vehicle, you will get the Ford ESP only usable at Ford Dealerships.

That coverage, which used to be called Ford ESP (Extended Service Plan), is ususlly (there are exceptions) only good at Ford Dealers, and is attached to your VIN, so that your coverage shows in your Ford App, and is honored nationwide. I have it on my two Fords right now, have used it once. It paid all costs for that repair, after a $100 deductible. Over the years, I've both saved and lost money, But I like the plan, which extends your OEM Ford new vehicle warranty out to whatever you buy, a combination of months and miles.

They stopped having this info in the app for awhile now. Now you can only validate by the dealer checking your vin.

Ive used Granger for 2 ESP, And one distinction is the ESP is not the same as the original 3 yr bumper to bumper. The ESP does not cover cosmetic/aesthetics like MIC tops, upholstery and other similar issues. Original 3 yr Bumper to Bumper does.

I put a deposit down for an OBX SAS yesterday. Going to pick it up hopefully in a few days. I mentioned that I'm interested in the extended warranty.

What's a good price for the warranty? Is it less expensive if you get it third party? Or you have to get it from Ford?

When I finalize the paperwork, I might add it if the price is good. They did mention the $100 deductible.

Per above, does anyone sell FordProtect "Premium Care" third party? And whether I get it from the dealer or third party, can I add it right before the warranty runs out (3 years) or have to get it when I buy the Bronco?

Ok, nevermind lol. I tried looking up pricing on Granger's site: They won't sell to CA lol.

So what's a good price for the warranty through Ford?
