Seems to be coin toss, I have owned 3 broncos to this day. A 2023 Badlands that I still own with 100,000 miles on it and has been in a pretty bad accident that has never given us one problem. Owned a 25 base 2 door and put 80,000 miles on it in just 6 months, never one problem with it either. I now own a 4 door big bend and have 12,000 miles on it in the first month of owning it, no problems yet.
80k in 6 months? You running drugs across the boarder or something? Damn.

Anyways, back to OP's question. I say it's hit or miss with any new Ford.

My 2012 Mustang 236k miles when I sold it.
Only thing I ever replaced was one of the a/c lines that rotted out. That thing was great!

2021 BaseSquatch 113k miles so far:
within 15k miles, front pinion seal leak (warranty repair)
Shocks (warranty, but had already replaced so out of pocket)
A/C stopped working few weeks back, simple unplug low pressure sensor for 15 minutes plug back in.
EVAP Pressure System Pressure Warning. Replaced Purge Valve (out of pocket) didn't fix. Sprayed inner door @ filler neck multiple times, seems to have fixed it.
(2) lower ball joints (out of pocket)
Seat Bolt (warranty)
Black Screen (warranty)
Low Pressure Fuel Pump (warranty)

And that's just what I can think of at the moment. So like I said, it's the luck of the draw. Some people never have issues, other's have them here and there.

You are not lacking in most options.
No sbd, no ACC, no heated seats, no 360 cameras and bumper sensors.
But still lots of electronics and modules.
And the clutch is far more complicated than it ought to be. I just had what ford calls a "hydraulic line" blow out. Except it's not really just a line as it has a weird plastic cylinder built into it. $250 part, and of course several hours of labor to get to it.

Plus Bronco uses brake fluid for the clutch, both of which feed from the same master reservoir.

Honestly my Bronco experience has really soured my opinion of ford. I’ve had probably 10 in my life, but this one has been nothing but problems.

Just heard it has to sit at the dealer until probably July for parts
My '19 F150 was my bitter pill. It's only got ~35K on the clock, and it's been in the shop four times since I bought it new. I hate the transmission in it and won't be at all surprised if it shits the bed, leaving me with a hefty bill. The truck is one of many factors why I haven't pulled a trigger on a Bronco.

Meanwhile, my '23 JL goes in next week for a rear main seal replacement at 15K miles. I'm glad for warranty, but not enthused about it. Will that be it, or will it just be the first of many problems?

I'm convinced they're all building garbage these days.

Been doing that since at least the 90s.

Considering it, but I tend to only keep cars 4-5 years
Sounds like you made the decision to dump the Bronco If you have to persuade yourself to buy an extended warranty in effort to keep the Bronco
The extended warranty is not a warranty but more like insurance. It doesn't cover any parts that are plastic, leather, rubber ETC. if you use the warranty you have to pay a deductible. I purchased 2 warranties in my life from Ford and I lost both times. That's including on my 2015 F150 with 220k mileage. You would be money ahead putting that warranty money in a Sans&P 500d index fund then use it for repairs

Just dropped it off at the dealer again.

I have a 23 Badlands that I bought new. I’ve had it for less than two years and it only has 18k miles.

So far it’s on its second hard top for cracking, 4-5 recalls, the doors needed to be realigned due to chipping paint, the rear tailgate had the rattle (dealer couldn’t figure it out and wanted to replace the entire swing gate. Fixed myself in 10 mins), and now it’s getting its sway bar actuator replaced under a TSB.

I’ve had Fords my entire life, but this is ridiculous
Sorry about your experience.

Just seen a Reddit post with a 2022 Wildtrak with 250,000 miles! So there's some longevity possible.

I have a 2022 Big Bend at 33K miles and been lucky nothing has failed yet.

I have 17K on my late 22 2-door. I got an extended 7yr, but only 60,000 bumper to bumper from Ford.

I plan on keeping it for a long time, but I'm already thinking about what to do after the warranty expires 3+ years from now.

And... I've never had even one problem with it (outside of the recalls), but seeing what has happened to so many others... it does make you think about it.

In regard to Granger & California law (thanks for nothing California)...

Granger Ford cannot sell extended warranties directly to California residents due to state regulations. However, some customers have successfully used out-of-state addresses to purchase warranties from Granger.

I've been a little irritated by all the recalls, but nothing has been catastrophic. Worse so far was a weird glitch with the GOAT selector, going into 4H without any input from me and would not change 4WD modes without shutting off the engine. That was a little disturbing. They "fixed" it under my extended coverage warranty. The damn thing is just so much fun to drive though... And it is way more reliable than my buddy's Range Rover Discovery. That thing spends more time in the shop than on the road...

Wow, you have driven around the Earth nearly 8 times since 2023!

Don't remember my mod 2000s Mustangs doing that, but they never had weird parts fail either.

Never had this problem in the 60's when the clutch was completely mechanical. I see no reason a clutch should be hydraulic in the first place.

I had an Escort ZX2 with that style of clutch, your mustang was probably a cable... Those tend to break.
I like the old bell crank clutches, easy to adjust.
But... I have dropped the linkage while driving due to a broken motor mount.
My 96 F-150 has a hydraulic clutch with a tiny reservoir, but I can replace the master, slave, and line for $150.

Companies went to hydraulic because they are smoother and self adjusting.

The 65 was literally a set of hinged rods that shoved directly on the clutch fork. One of them was threaded for adjustment.

The 01, 06, and 08 were certainly hydraulic, but I'm sure they didn't have weird assemblies on the hydraulic line.

This is the part that failed

Yea, 65 was a bell crank like pretty much everything else back them.
01 was a cable.
06 and 8 were hydraulic that used the brake master reservoir .

I just wish that manufacturers still used external slave cylinders instead of the ones inside the bell housing.
Makes repair easier and cheaper.
