Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the double honk after reconnecting the doors without having to use forscan. I have a 25 big bend and after I reconnect the drivers door and close it it double honks. I assume this let's ypu know all is connected and good to go but it drives me nuts. Thanks

Have you heard of meditation? Perhaps some deep breathing exercises? A double honk to let you know your doors are back on and connected shouldn't drive you nuts.

I don't know the answer, but I do wonder how often you take the doors off that it bothers you that much? 🤔

Also, it's got to be a circle in hell to really hate something just enough you wish it gone but not enough to use FORSkin. lol

I don't want to use forscan as the vehicle is a lease is all. And I love driving with no doors and roof whenever the weather permits, so the doors are off and on quite frequently as it only takes 20 minutes to remove all I find it worth it. And honestly was just looking for a solution not everyone's sarcasm, but should of known better, that's on me I guess. Thanks

Yeah, fair enough. I guess if you borked it, that could be a problem, but I'd wonder if the lessor would even know if you used it.

I wouldn't be afraid of Forscan for something like this. When you return the lease, they are WAY more concerned about the tread on the tires and that scratch you picked up on the trail. So many people disable the Double Honk that it's practically a given now. (FYI - in Forscan, it's a 'plain text' setting, so you don't even have to get into the BCM codes to remove it.) If all you do is this ONE setting, it's worth the effort - especially if it's the thing that irritates you the most.

Disabling double honk will not get rid of the double honk after plugging the doors back in.
Its not a big deal to me so I just live with it.

Can you just not reconnect the door wiring harness?

Ya, I guess saying it drives me nuts was a little much, I find it annoying, but I have lived with it so far

Just a thought but next time make sure the bronco is not on and try hitting the unlock button on the remote before installing the doors. Even with the doors off the computers “lock” the doors when driving so when you reinstall the doors and close them the vehicle is honking to confirm the lock. I keep my hardware and tool bag in the back so have to unlock the hatch to get to it. I have double honk disabled in forscan but will still get a honk if it is running and I lock the doors manually and close them.
