Off-Road Events: Worth It or Just Hype?

I’m a pretty big fan of any event Wolfbox doesn’t participate in.

Very rude comment. My mom use to say if you have nothing nice to say keep it to yourself.

The only larger group events I've been to have been the SoCal Broncos trailruns that @Dusty put together a long while back, and then one of Camp4Lo's Baja trips which for me was worth it to have someone show me the ropes in a place that could go sideways really quickly. The group was larger then I would have preferred, but generally I'm moved on to doing my own things and I've learned quickly who are my kind of people and who aren't.

I'm not sure if rude is the right word there, but saying that you're interested in events that they don't show up to is a pretty savage opinion. When I read that comment the first thing I did was google "wolfbox hate" to see if there was something about their product that stirred up a lot of...discontent that one should know about before considering their product.

Double that up with the very first reply to the thread and it makes me wonder.

I still wheel regularly but I've pretty much gone back to wheeling with my Early Bronco So Cal buddies I'd been wheeling with since long before the 6G came about. Like you, I've...

learned quickly who are my kind of people and who aren't.

That said we do still welcome FNG's to the Big Bear Bronco Bash as long as they don't require too much hand-holding LOL

I don't need a wolfbox, let them roam free, events can be kinda cool but I'd rather wheel with friends. Sure, it's bologna sandwiches and pee outside like when I was a kid, but I'm okay with that.

It is a violation of my nature to pay for something I can do for free.. When I first got my Jeep I was tempted to pay to go to the Jeep Jamboree and other smaller events, but then realized I can just meet up with my local off-road group(s) to do pretty much the same thing for free and I eventually started my own off-road group so others could do the same - all for free...
I just got my Bronco a few weeks ago, but thinking of doing the same thing..

The great Randolpho appears on B6G! Now we have a real radio dork to set us straight on GMRS use! Seriously I love your channel.
