I'm in Canada an with the weather turning cold, I just can't seem to get enough heat on the floor of the Bronco to keep my feet warm. Even setting the vents to just be on the floor, the rest of the Bronco is nice an toasty but the floor is still cold. Anyone else having this issue?
My Bronco Heritage Limited has no heat on floor. Upper ducts work fine. Anyone chck for codes through OBB connector ? I am going to xheck mine.

I have brought it in to multiple dealerships to run diagnostics. Everyone confirms the problem (the symptoms), but after running tests, they always conclude that it works as designed and nothing is broken or malfunctioning. It seems that ford has a design problem or they engineered it this way on purpose. Since nothing is "broken" or "problematic" they keep saying they can't fix it or change it. The official response I received was they could not fix it and there was nothing else they could do. It is absurd that you cannot make warm air come out of the floor boards. If you are still within time limits and really want to hold your ground, you can evoke the Lemon laws and they will be forced to buy it back.
I know this to be true...

Wow. Still not fixed in 2025. I cant believe how abysmal the HVAC is in my bronco. My 10 year old F150's auto system works perfectly. And I live in San Diego, LOL. In the 150 air goes where it is supposed to automatically. If you change one of the dual zone temp controls just 1 degree up or down, you feel that change. How could a company devolve a working system so badly?

Because every Ford vehicle since at least the middle of last century has proper heating vents in the floor, my suspicion is that Ford doesn't want to admit to this Bronco specific design problem and order a recall, as it would affect every Bronco built in the last several years. If everyone would speak up and demand warm air in the floor vents, we might be able to make some progress...

In California, the statute of limitations for filing a lemon law claim is generally four years from when the defect was first discovered or the warranty expired. For 2025, new regulations require claims to be filed within one year of the warranty ending or six years from the vehicle's original delivery date.
Key California Lemon Law Time Limits
  • Four-Year General Limit: Typically, claims must be brought within four years of the breach of warranty.
  • 2025 Law Changes: A six-year "maximum rule" from the original sale date now exists, and a one-year limit applies after the warranty expires.
  • Warranty Period Requirement: The defect must first occur while the express warranty is active.
  • Optimal Timing: It is strongly recommended to file as soon as the vehicle shows consistent problems, preferably within the first 18 months.
Factors Affecting Time Limits
  • Reasonable Number of Repairs: Two or more attempts for a serious safety defect or four or more for non-safety issues.
  • Out of Service Days: If the vehicle is in the shop for more than 30 cumulative days, it may qualify.
  • Delayed Filing Risks: Waiting too long can result in lost evidence, faded memory of witnesses, and the assumption that the defect was not serious.
It is highly recommended to consult with a lemon law attorney to determine the exact deadlines, especially with 2025 changes.

Not having warm feet isn't a reason to trigger a safety recall. Recalls are for safety things. If it failed to defog the windshield, then maybe... (although I find it defogs like a champ) but cold feet - nope.

And, while the system sucks totally, sucking and being bad isn't the same thing as doesn't work. It is working as intended. It just is intended to suck, for whatever reason.

If you block off the A-pillar vents, it works a hell of a lot better. You lose some of that "like a champ" defogging action, but not so much that I fear for my life. I also find that as soon as you start to warm up if you get it to "warm" and off max heat, that for whatever reason it does a better job of mixing the air around

Not all vehicle recalls are safety-related. Manufacturers also issue recalls for non-safety reasons. Non-Safety Recalls often involve components that do not affect the safe operation of the vehicle. Manufacturers often initiate recalls voluntarily to maintain reputation.

So out of the 153 recalls last year, how many of those do you think were voluntary, non-safety related and for reputation only?

My Volvo had an inch plus of high density foam bonded to carpet.

I just landed a local deal on ResoNix Fiber Mat Black Edition though not confident its suitable for condensations..,. some thermal insulation would go a long way. https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/collections/resonix-thermal-insulators.

Any type of similar non branded product to ResoNix Guardian that's hydrophobic should be fine any industrial foam supply place should have it otherwise a fabric store may have a suitable product to interface floor with carpet.

I did end up with 1/2" closed cell (hydrophobic) foam under front carpets that I got in from the side with rocker trim off...cheap ....works great in the coldest weather. Didn't do the backs since no one is ever back there in winter.

Also good sound insulation.

Well my 2021 Badlands is going in for a bunch of recalls next week. I'm also getting them to look at the floor heat (or lack of). I'll post up what they come back with but I'm not expecting much.

You need to 3d print a pillar blockers. Once you install those, air actually goes to the foot area and everything works as expected.

the pillar blockers have some effect, but

'everything works as expected'

might be a bit of hyperbole
