Heh I’ve been afraid to ask and never bothered to research. But the HVAC behavior is so odd. I ask for heat, heat doesn’t come. Unless I really crank it high. Turn down heat, heat still on.

Same thing with AC. Sometimes it just blows cold even if AC is off.

Floor vents don’t actually seem to function.

Dash vents always blow air.

And what are the three indicator settings on the Auto button? Just blower speed? We already have a big tactile switch for that. It’s an unusual system.
The 3 settings on the auto switch are how hard it allows the blower to run in auto mode. The separate blower speed switch is for manual mode.

I have the manual system. less ghosts in it i believe. however, when the fan is on the fifth bar (i think) or two less than full the fan speed fluctuates. I think it happens more in AC mode. But I'm perhaps led to believe it's the fresh air vent opening periodically which apparently is intentional?

:ROFLMAO: classic, the clueless sales staff just saying yes to any inquiry about features.
Well, I feel f—ked badly! :curse:

I’m an extremely skeptical person, but had thought the salesman was at least a little honest.
I’m still amazed at how fast the heat exchanger works; I thought there HAD to be another computer chip in there doing something.
This isn’t my 1964 Dodge Dart!

Thanks all!

the salesman I dealt with no longer works at the dealership.

Edit: I see some of the Sport builds come with the PTC ceramic heater, but no full sized Broncos.
still, 8 seconds from cold start to warming air out the vents is unbelievable to me

Blocking the a pillar vents helps a lot with floor/rear seat vents. Can’t do anything about the recirc, or the fact that the sensing detector is down by the driver knee and gets wonky

Thank you to the 3D printing crew who have a print file for a plug available in the 3D printer thread
I didn't block the a pillar vent since I discovered that if you turn on just the dash vents and foot vents no air goes to the a pillar vent. Then if I want max foot heat I just manually close the dash vents. (I keep the passenger side vents mostly closed unless I have a passenger...)

Why the a pillar vent opens when you just want foot heat is a mystery that I will never understand.

My son printed out a set for me in banana yellow. I spray painted them and ended up just double side taping them on rather than waiting for him to print another set in black.
I see in the stl file base plate is the outward facing section. Anybody know if whatever standard baseplate was likely used provided that texture that seems to match the bronco well? i've got a G10 baseplate and that won't provide that as it's smooth. specifcically got it for when printing PETG
