I’ve noticed this with my 24 Big Bend it doesn’t have the dual zone climate and still does this . Seems like defrost and upper vents get full heat . If you put on floor 80 percent comes out defrost and 20 percent floor.
Assuming this was never resolved ?

Best you can do is set it to front vents + floor and manually close the front vents off.

any other setting and the A-pillars seem to get most of the air

Bought new end of August so didn’t really use much heat. But live up Canada so starting to get cooler in October just noticed today. I’ve seen couple threads on this so assume was common issue .
I thought maybe was issue with mine with it diverting the air to floor .

Nope. Almost everyone seems to have this issue. I guess a few people in Phoenix or San Diego or someplace like that think the heat is fine as-is

I feel sorry for anyone in the rear seats, I have no issue in the winter in the front, I do have the fan a little higher than i normaly would, it is not a great HVAC system compared to other vehicles-

Even in AZ, our kids in the back freeze their feet off on cold winter mornings. Stupid design…

Is yours a 2023 or a.2024 yr model? I am wondering if they fixed this problem in the 2024 model?

Mine is 2024
I went through the whole deal with the dealer and with Ford trying to help. There is no fix for this issue. According to Ford, it is working as designed. Maybe they will fix it in 2025? Bad design for sure.

Yes unfortunately I have been experiencing this same issue all of a sudden, feet and legs are freezing (live in Cleveland) Dealership says nothing is wrong! But yet this is the first winter having this problem with the no heat blowing on the legs/feet! Ford Needs to do a recall on this we pay good money for these Broncos as well as the heated steering wheel

I too was wondering why I was getting next to no heat on the floor of my 2024 model year close-out Bandlands bought in September 2025.

Now that it’s December and 10° in Minnesota, thanks for the floor heat work-around!!

Try setting it to dash vents and floor vents, then close the dials on all the dash vents. This is not perfect, but should result in much more hot air coming out of the floor vents.
I finally tried this today and it is the best fix yet until Ford actually addresses it. Floor and Vents selected with all 4 vents closed forces the air through the floor vents and it stops air from flowing out the A pillar.
Can also do the above and just crack a panel vent or two to get heat to the torso and still get good heat on your feet.

Yeah, it would be nice if FOMOCO would fix the Bronco so that the floor-heat-only setting actually means floor heat only and not “no floor heat but lotsa A-pillar heat.”Maybe in the 2026’s.

The Bronco sure has a lot of odd quirks, but to me just that makes it that much more interesting, as long as there’s a workaround or fix. Thanks again for figuring the fix.

My Volvo had an inch plus of high density foam bonded to carpet.

I just landed a local deal on ResoNix Fiber Mat Black Edition though not confident its suitable for condensations..,. some thermal insulation would go a long way. https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/collections/resonix-thermal-insulators.

Any type of similar non branded product to ResoNix Guardian that's hydrophobic should be fine any industrial foam supply place should have it otherwise a fabric store may have a suitable product to interface floor with carpet.

I popped out the A pillar vent and decided to try reducing the amount of air coming out of it using HVAC foil tape.
Initially it feels like it’s still blowing strong, but it’s blowing more on the window instead of straight out.
I’ll see how it does about the floor vent on that side. The next time I go on the road.
My biggest complaint I don’t like the hot air blowing in my face. I may have to totally block it off and see how that does.

Be careful popping that piece - you have to order the entire a pillar trim to buy a replacement
