Any experience Kelly Safari MT?

Anyone have any experience with Kelly Safari MT tires?
The tread pattern looks good. Similar design to the Baja Boss MT in my opinion.
Do not see any online reviews, hoping this community has actual experience with them.

I had the previous tread pattern in 35s. True to size and had a good compound. They did well on and off road for the 10K miles I ran them before buying 37s.

66.5lbs for a true Mud Terrain ain't bad. They got some pretty big ass voids though, wonder if they're real loud. Other than that, interesting tire and a decent price ($317).

I’m not much concerned with the noise as I’m shopping mud terrain so it’s a given, the lighter weight caught my attention, if I stepped up to 37 they are around $60 less each over the BB MT I’m considering. However I think I’m staying with 35’s.

I have been wondering the same about their tires. They have been around forever but there seems to be almost no info, much like Patagonia milestars and the Kenda Klever were before they became a solid option for a well made, but wallet friendly, tire. Would love to hear others share their thoughts or experiences on these or similar lesser known brands

They are a goodyear carcas with different tread and no marketing press. I would buy them again for a good price. Didn't have any traction issues with Kellys, just wanted 37s. I currently have Patagoochie XTs and they are super quite, great wet traction and stiffer sidewall.

Discount tire price matched locally... Just a tad over $1K with tax and install.

I like that these are almost 10lb lighter per tire. The lower price is a bonus.
I believe Kelly tires in general are good quality, I just have seen no one using the MT.
I am going to see what my local shop can get them for and maybe I’ll bump up to 37”.
I have some apprehension running an almost 80 lb tire (Baja Boss MT) and not tearing up my Bronco due to that massive weight.
That might just be sissy talk, tell me it’s an actual legit concern.

Unsprung mass/rotational mass (inertia) and the associated forces has a non-linear (i.e. > than) effect on handling and wear.

It seems to be under considered by off-roaders in general who also regularly drive on road...not as important for trailer only rigs...

Weight is very attractive as are the tire esthetics worth a try.

I'm far from being any kind of tire expert, but I'm not aware of a ultra light weight rubber compound or steel belting. GY was using Kevlar, but I believe that was a specific tire model and I don't know if Kevlar was any lighter than other materials. If it's lighter, the weight is coming from some where in the construction. The Mickey BBs have hella deep tread and side biters which is at least some of their heft. I don't know that heavy=rugged necessarily, though, if it's crap construction.

Weight wise the Baja Boss are D rated and higher ply, along with more mass in tread as you noted. The GY are C and lower ply as I recall.
Kevlar is lighter than steel outside of that I have no clue how either tire is actually constructed and what materials they are mode from.
I just know what size tires would break the Dana 44 solid front axles and I’m trying not to do that with the new Bronco.
