I had the rear camera replacement done under Ford's recall a little over a month ago. Ever since then, my front camera only works about 50% of the time.

Is this a known issue? Or perhaps a wiring or programming problem with the rear camera install that would affect the front camera? I never had issues with the front camera prior to the rear camera replacement.

Also, I am fairly certain the tech who did the rear camera replacement broke the trim piece on the inside of my swing gate. One of the clips is snapped off and it rattles like crazy now. If I had to guess, I think he pulled it down while trying to remove it, even though the guides say to lift it up, as it's the top clip that is broken.

PS... Is there a way to find out if I bought an extended warranty with my Bronco? My paperwork went missing during a move and any attempt to search my VIN on the Ford warranty search web site always returns a "Sorry, we had a technical issue, please try again later" error message.

Have you contacted the dealer concerning the front camera issue? Could be related to the rear camera replacement if they messed with software. Would be a good time to bring up the broken trim piece as well.

Your dealer should be able to retrieve your paperwork.

Yeah, that's my next step. I was just hoping to go in armed with info, since my experience with Ford dealers is they never think anything is their fault.

There’s a camera alignment procedure that needs to be done after replacing a camera. But if they didn’t do that, I’d expect the rear one not to work correctly. Don’t think it would necessarily affect only the front.

The front cameras are known to have issues also, so could be just a poor coincidence, hard to say.

If you send me your VIN I can see if your Bronco has any ESP.

I have the same exact experience after my rear camera was replaced in the recall. VIN: 1FMEE5DPXNLB54468 Totally erratic and never know when it will or will not work.

Sorry to hear you're in the same boat.

Hopefully Ford will be able to fix it. I haven't had time to take mine back to the dealer yet. Debating skipping it altogether as there's a good chance I may end up trading my Bronco in soon.
