For those who assembled their own, any details on that rear glass install?
I'm looking at the inside of my rear hatch (no recessed groove) and honestly don't see a great way to install it with sealant that won't be a potential for sloppy results. Other than cleaning the "squished out" sealant nicely there does not seem to be a better way to go about it.

I've looked for videos on just that part, and in the install videos there looks to be a supplemental cover piece on the inside perimeter, whether it be rubber or painted aluminum...it looks different than mine currently.

TBH I have not tried anything yet, getting ready to paint it all this week and just trying to plan ahead and get things set up for installation as efficiently as I can.
I'm probably "overthinking it" as I tend to do while staring at stuff and coming up with a tactical plan.

Progress…
Will I regret a shiny painted top with the trails I do?
Maybe.
Raptor is always an option if it needs to be done.
Hard to go the other direction from lined to painted…

I was installing a shelf in the back of my Bronco tonight, and had my wife close me in the back to check some clearances, and I happened to notice quite a bit of daylight coming through the corners where the tailgate and hatch meet the body. Im assuming everyone else's is like this as well and just the way the top was designed. I dont really see a way to seal it off other than maybe stuff some foam in there when i hit the desert. I forsee quite a bit of dust finding its way in those gaps. I guess that would explain where all the water came from in the back when I washed the Bronco over the weekend with the pressure washer.

Speaking of water, has anyone had issues with their latches leaking? At first I thought it was between the latch and the gullwing itself but it seems to be well sealed and I did tighten up 2 latches. After a good wash it seems like the water is coming in around the spring area inside the latch and drips down off the arm Inside. Not sure theres any way to actually seal that.

Now for the shelf I was installing in case anyone is interested. I was looking for some storage up towards the roof in the rear but the M2M attic shelf wasnt enough for what I was needing. I found this shelf from Hooke Road that offers about 7.5" of space between the shelf and the top of the roof. The front of the shelf drops down to give you access for sliding your equipment/supplies up in there. I did have to modify that piece a bit. I just had to cut 2.5" in each side off the front panel of that drop down piece to accommodate for the struts of the Armadillo hatch. Just need to clean up my cuts and touch up the paint. Quote happy with it.

New member here and first post. Ive had my Bronco a little while now and have done my share of mods, but this top is my favorite one by far. There's not really any comparison with the other tops available on the market. If you're on the fence about it like I was originally, don't be

Anyone having problems with the sound deadening losing adhesion to the removable top panels? This started a couple months ago, where I get in the Bronco and the corners/sides are peeling back. I’ve tried some 3m headliner spray, but not holding up more than 1-2 days and it’s just getting worse. Note that when I went for the install nearly 1 year ago they had the wrong color installed and had to quickly swap them out to the right color. I expect they may not have fully cleaned off the old 3m stickum!

Suggestions welcome on a good adhesive? I’ve read DAP Weldwood Landau Top & Trim HHR Solvent is pretty good…

The DAP adhesive is what Armadillo is recommending now over the Gorilla adhesive they used to recommend. I bought some but I have not used it yet. From what i've read about it its pretty permanent once it hardens so as long as it's applied right, shouldnt have anymore issues.

Here you go. You can see how it attaches to the roll bar and the cuts I made. I cut 2.5" wide and about .5" deep. Looks like it should fit with the DV8 molle panels from what I can see in their site.
