It’s expected to be positioned between the $51,475 Bronco Heritage Edition and roughly $80,000 Bronco Raptor. The base Bronco starts at about $40,000.

No armor either correct? I'd guess no rear locker either, for high speed desert stuff I wouldn't think lockers would be necessary at all.

The "stories" didn't make mention of more details of the "Base" RTR model. But Ford doesn't offer a non-locker 4.46 rear axle. The only open rear axle is 3.73 gears and I doubt that is being used.

And the pictures show the modular front bumper, but even that doesn't guarantee a steel bash plate up front. MY'23 Job 2, Ford introduced a plastic shield that mimics the powder coat of the original steel bash plate. That change was only on WTs, OBX, or Big Bend that selected the optional modular bumper. The Black Diamond and Badlands still received the steel bash plate. I presume the rest of the armor is also omitted on the "Base" RTR model. Seeing as this is only on a Moar Door, then the gas tank skid is also likely omitted.

They certainly do. I have a 4.46 open rear diff in my manual big bend.

Likely, just using the computer to keep the turbine spinning a bit so you're always in a minimal amount of boost. Smoke and mirrors really is my guess, something that a tuner could probably do right now with a custom tune.

Realistically, it looks like there's very little here that someone wouldn't get for less with a base with SAS. You'll get the custom tuning for the turbo, snazzy wheels, angry grille and stickers...and miss out on the 35s, better gears, lockers, 4a, M210, etc.

The only thing that looks nice about it is opting into SAS to get the full HOSS 3.0, and at that point are you really any cheaper than a badlands?

I'm pretty underwhelmed by this RTR Bronco. I hoped we would see more significant changes and upgrades for 27 considering the Bronco will in its 7th model year.

There's a lot of stuff they COULD have done. To me, this is just an appearance package. A lot of folks predicted an appearance package (stickers) but I am not going to lie, I thought Ford would SURELY do more than just that. I have only myself to blame for being disappointed.
