Sold it :( I spent 569 days with you all waiting for the thing to arrive. After 2.5 years and 83k miles I upgraded.

Seeing it online and available for purchase made me sad

Assuming from the first photo you might have moved just to the right of center?

Correct. I guess I really didn’t take any good pics if it other than that one. I actually took more pics of the old one.

Here’s one from last night getting prepped for ppf.

Well, didn't do it with my Bronco, but for it. Got a little DJI Action 4 camera today (Amazon), and a suction cup mount coming tomorrow so I can capture a little video of some of our adventures. Between the iPhone and the dashcam, it sucks, haha.

Now to learn how DaVinci Resolve works (more practice!!!) and I might make a semi-watchable video. :)

Speaking of cameras, anyone use a trail site camera mount? I kinda like the way it is a little better option for a front end view, and a little more secure than a suction cup mount in that area.

Very nice!... I tell you I swear by the PPF.... Need to replace passenger fender and grill PPF but that is so much better than having to repaint them.

can your action 4 stream a live feed to your phone so you can use it as a real time trail camera?

PPF is wonderful. Going down a tighter trail is no worry for the BRaptor fenders now that this has been applied. Do not have to cringe when you hear the scrapes on the fenders,

Yup, just tried it!
awesome! Just ordered one as they are on sale.

Some of my favorite places have trails that all you see is sky as they crest! This will fix that for the few times I need it.

I did the same thing, good sale on them and my dashcam sucks with the frequent lops, haha. Thsi is a good camera, can be inside, outside, survive water, so went with it.

Look up Davinci Resolve, it is a free video editor that does a ton of stuff. I've merged 4 separate video files into it, deleted our voices, and added some music to a certain part of the "presentation" or whatever it is called. It is pretty powerful, yet easy with some YouTube video guides.

Nice! Thanks for inadvertently pointing me in this direction!
at the moment all I care about is using it as a trail camera, but I am sure that will change In the future.
I have saved the link to that cool Bronco camera mount but will first see if I can just mount it on the bumper.

B&H has a remote control unit for the camera, but I want to first see if just using the app is enough.

Finally upgrading my Velcro strap to something a little better. Got two (one has not arrived yet, they were out of stock) of these Voile straps to snug them to the rear seat anchor points. Little suckers are stout, and strong! Large enough to go around them if they get muddy and I put them in large trash bags./ :)

Fixed(?) the left rear door window. Driving home I put it down for a moment and it wouldn't go all the way back up. Each subsequent attempt to lower and raise it would leave it stuck even lower. Eventually it was all the way down and not doing anything.

Removed the door to work on it in the house because it's cold out there. Tested the motor with an 18v Ryobi battery and it worked fine.

Lubed the regulator cables and reinstalled the door, figuring I can at worst roll up the window with the battery before reinstalling the door panel.

Plugged the door back in and it wasn't working so I took the Ryobi route. After the window was up I again tested the switches and they worked perfectly. Retrained the window up/down and I'm back in business.

Annoying but at least it's working and the fix was free. Also nice to have the option of working in the warmth for most of the job :)

camera showed up, got it set up and downloaded the app.
Huge bummer is the app is not carplay compatible. If it was, you could just use the Bronco’s screen to view the live trailcam from the camera.
But works perfectly with my phone, so will use the phone as the monitor/screen to see what the camera sees.
I attached the provided curved mount to the bumper next to a recovery hook. Seems very solidly attached so will go with that than buying an aftermarket mount ( at least for now)
so for $200, got a trail cam that needed zero wiring to the vehicle.
