Ford should definitely realize that not everyone is desert racing or taking the kids to soccer and make a smaller Bronco Raptor.
Probably beating the dead horse, but what part of the Bronco Raptor being the most capable showroom stock rock crawler did you miss? This idea that the Braptor is only for high speed work somehow persists.

As cool as 2D Braptor would be, you realize it's not made because it wouldn't be profitable for FMC?

I would love all of the suspension and frame upgrades over other broncos except the width. I’ve squeaked through many spots where I’m pretty sure a Raptor would’ve turned around. If you’re not in the great wide open that width is a huge liability.
BTW.... they are the exact same width. Only difference is the flares and track width.

And not as wide as people think.
Our 2dr with 0 offset wheels is 81" (outside of tires) vs 86" on the Raptor.

Fiberglass is a simple solution for the flares.

Don't folks typically mean the widest part of the vehicle is it's width? Certainly in the off roading context.

Tires sticking out is not a limitation off road it is a benefit to protect the body.

People think the Raptor Bronco is wider than a Super Duty (with that logic) and that is simply not the case.

We have had a Super Duty (built). Body width is the main limitation on narrow trails.

Hmmm, we must be talking/thinking about it differently.

Yes tires sticking out past your fenders will protect them. Zero offset wheels on a Raptor accomplish this nicely. However, a wide track width, either the stock Raptor track width or an increased track width can limit a vehicles ability to pass in certain narrow trails.

From the other thread... on whether or not the Raptor has upgrades axles/CVs compared to Base and/or Sasquatch

You've given no proof that ford has done any upgrades to what you've listed above. It's just a wild guess with an Raptor ego behind it...IF ford was gonna do something special with the axles, then they certainly would have listed the upgrades similar to the ones they have available through ford performance for REAL hp. PROOVE ME WRONG!

Of course, I haven't, (and never claimed to). Similarly, you have given none that they haven't . Well perhaps other than, "I've seen some videos any the CVs look the same."

It's certainly not an ego thing.

With the plethora of upgrades made in the Raptor, with its considerably higher power & torque, wider track, larger wheels and more travel, it makes a ton of sense to have upgraded CVs and axles compared to non Raptor. Obviously - just compare things in the rear. We also have Ford's DIRECT QUOTE, "the Dana 44™ AdvanTEK front-drive unit includes upgraded half-shafts". These together are more than a wild guess.

However, as pointed out prior, maybe that bold statement is true compared to a base model but not true compared to a Sasquatch.

I also don't see any relevance of listings from Ford Racing. How many Raptor parts, that are clearly upgrades over non Raptor have similar listings? To whom would they be selling to exactly?

Just look the part numbers up for each. If they're different, well, they're physically different components. Doesn't tell you if one is more "HD" than the other but at least we know they're unique to the model.

With the raptor having physically longer a-arms and not being a “wide track” build that consists of a different offset in the wheels, the CV’s will indeed have a physical difference. At least in length!

As @SierraBronco stated, the parts are different and longer, so yes, absolutely, they have a different part number. But as others have pointed out it's not clear if they are upgraded/improved in any meaningful way (stiffer, stronger, longer lasting, larger angular range, etc.).

On the original list should it not say only offered in 5 door configurations?

All Raptors from gen 1 F150 through Bronco and Ranger are 4 doors, so there is that.

I'd have to imagine the wheel bearings and CV's are beefier given the larger tire size and heavier weight. From an engineering perspective, it makes sense but it is Ford we're talking about so...yeah.
