The snow has started falling in Alberta, so I’ve been out wheelin’ for the last 4 days in Kananaskis and McLean Creek.

Perfect time to test out my new Toyo WLT1 tires (true winter tires).

I’m in the foothills, love the quick north and south access along 22 and 40, the Rocky Mountains are always awe inspiring!

Finally having these Fox 2.5 shocks installed along with some new uppers and tie rods.

A couple of days ago, went up to Washington Pass, WA, along the North Cascades Highway.
(see more in the Two Door Tuesday thread).

Kinda not able to get off the highway much because of the 3-foot berm from the plows.

I stopped at one of the power generation stations, this one is lower in elevation; the Gorge dam/station. There is a little public viewing room to look at the generators and see some displays and hands-on gizmos. But, it is closed for the season.
My Bronco is clearly seen ..........way out there in the little parking area. Steep canyons and the geology there always interest me.

I tried to make up for some of the $$ spent on gas this drive by snooping in some nearby sands, but...
NUTHIN!

Installed a set of the Ford accessory fender flares. Front and rear Turn Offroad Hyperlyte bumpers and the plate relocation kit will be here next week.

Said goodbye to my 22 2D 7M Black Diamond and hello to my 25 4D 10A Heritage Edition. Was concerned about the roof and the manual on the Black Diamond for the long haul. Was some mild cracking on the roof and I didn’t like the cold idle noises from the transmission. I will miss the little Bucker!

I love the use of the Bronco as a mobile model rocket platform.

Not that you would want to, but it would be cool to see a video where the rocket takes out the drone.

Greased the Icon UCA, but tires still are shaky; Kenda Klevers got possibly 5k left in them, so deciding on the replacement wheels+tires as I wanna upgrade to 315s but gotta see what the best AT tires are and what rims look good and are light enough

Got up at dawn before the wife and kids, cold, drizzle, snuck out to go pick up some coffee for my wife and I, some pancakes for the kids. Blurry eyed myself, eco-mode slow pace, with CSN “Southern Cross” on the radio. Seat heater on, nobody out, beautiful Virginia drizzling fall morning, perfect sleeping in weather, the kind of day where you have the football game on in the garage while you tinker in peace, staying dry. Man, I do love this car!

Drove my wife down to Kaiser in Tacoma to get her cataract surgery. Traffic from hell on the way down. We stayed at a nice place in Federal Way. I had all our necessary waypoints stored on Google Maps. They immediately showed up on the Google Maps function on my Bronco. I got her to where she needed to be. Could'a been snow. I know we would'a got there anyway. The Bronco would'a taken care of that.

Followed the excellent write-up here to try and reduce the wind-noise from my hardtop (2023 4-door Badlands). Drove to VT for the holiday and so far it's definitely quieter up to 65+ mph but still a bit noisy at higher speeds. Will try adjusting the brackets to see if I can tighten things up a bit more.
Also removed the cheesy Badlands badges and replaced them with Bronco script emblems using the positioning template. And tightened up my floppy windows using this video.
