A rear floor mat (even though I've added adhesive velcro strips to them). So now I just pull them out.
First time I drove with the doors off I lost a bag of dog food from the front passenger footwell. Also a mochi donut that went onto the street and under my rear tire, resulting in a 3-foot...
I ran into an issue using one of these with a Terunsol dash cam. The USB-C ports seem to use USB Power Delivery, wherein the port asks the attached device how much power it wants and they negotiate. The camera didn't support PD, so the output from the adapter stayed at 0V. The camera powers...
Did everything in this excellent post on my 2023 4-door Badlands (thanks OP!). Wind noise before was intolerable -- couldn't talk on Bluetooth and had to crank radio to full -- despite adjusting the various mounting brackets.
Had a little trouble getting the front panels to sit flat along the...
Followed the excellent write-up here to try and reduce the wind-noise from my hardtop (2023 4-door Badlands). Drove to VT for the holiday and so far it's definitely quieter up to 65+ mph but still a bit noisy at higher speeds. Will try adjusting the brackets to see if I can tighten things up a...
I've owned convertibles for 30 years, and have always loved a hard top over a soft top (quieter, warmer in winter, gives the whole car more stability). Until I got my Bronco. I bought both tops with it, thinking I'd run the soft top in the summer and the hard top in the winter. If I had it to...
I use this cover. Hides stuff from casual prying eyes, keeps the reusable shopping bags from taking flight, etc. Don't recommend putting yoru gym bag on the floorwell - I learned the hard way that things on the floorwell have a tendency to end up on the road after a sharp turn.
I posted some...
My rear WeatherTechs took flight with doors off. I tried the heavy duty velcro as suggested earlier in the thread but that didn't work either. So I just took them out for the summer.
Took off the hard top and the doors. Put on the JTops bimini mesh. Gonna ride that way all summer. A few tips for the doorless life:
- Don't put anything on the seats or floor wells. Learned that the hard way.
- Get a cover for the back and put stuff there instead. This one works well for...
I originally tried a desk grommet from Amazon that's for passing cables through, but it tended to slip around. Here's an option you can 3D print: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6443738#google_vignette
I'm using one of these now and it works pretty well. I have to push it back in every so...
Took the hard top panels off and re-adjusted them for a tighter fit (shop procedure has been posted in other threads here on the forum, but basically you loosen the bolts a bit, adjust the panel so it's a tight fit, then gently lift it off and tighten the bolts. Made a significant difference in...
I did some research on this and it doesn't appear to be possible at this time (even though the car "knows" when it's in gear). If you figure it out, please pass the solution along!
Some other possible causes (collected from other posts here - can't take credit myself):
- Bad/no voltage to fuse for Chassis Control Module (I definitely didn't do this to myself by putting an add-a-fuse in that spot and forgetting to put the original fuse on it)
- Sway bar is disconnected
-...
The Mabett cover itself is pretty waterproof - it's a retractable vinyl (?) piece similar to a window blind but heavier. But while it covers most of the back opening, it doesn't cover it completely. So water would still get it around the edges. It works well to keep things like reusable...
I love these cans for filling my snowblower, lawn-mower, pressure-washer, etc. -- much less likely to overflow/slop fuel all over them. But they don't work at all for my Bronco -- learned that the hard way : (
