Picked mine up from the Ford dealer yesterday, a local shop I've dealt with before is going to do the install, they are charging $257 a corner including an alignment. The earliest I could get it scheduled is the 11th.

You actually thought that the 3yr/36k started the day you have them installed? In that case someone could limp in with 100k miles on the clock and get another 3yr/36k? That's crazy.

What? They make it sound like the shocks are warrantied for 3 years 36000 miles. They aren’t. I have no idea how you could possibly think I said anything else.

Yeah it’s probably roughly the same as Sasquatch height.

Non-Sas to Sas was around that 1.5” mark depending on curb weight and spring rate. If this is just the same suspension that was on Wildtrak it is probably sprung for what the Wildtrak curb weight was. And that was the heaviest trim other than Badlands.

Most of the non-Sas Broncos (other than Badlands) are a fair amount lighter, so I could see how it’s closer to a 2” lift than a 1” lift.

yeah when i had my sas'd badlands in the shop, a wildtrak was parked next to it - and it was maybe an 0.5 ~ 1" taller? It seemed bigger, the only thing I chalked it up to was the extra armor + weight of the stabar disconnect.

Non-Sasquatch Broncos do not include a rear sway bar.

Is this sway bar the same as would be on my 2022 Badlands Sasquatch? My local dealer told me it was a different one.

To anyone who has actually swapped out the front coil-overs, do you REALLY need to go as far as pulling the front wheel bearings out of the uprights?!?! That seems CRAZY!!!

No, you do not. I installed 6100's on my 21 Badlands and the thought never even crossed my mind.

I dunno if I got lucky or if would have liked these more.

Mine were leaking oil, and my dealership confirmed they needed replacing. The shocks weren't covered (yet) unless the reservoir fell off entirely. They weren't able to replace them. A week later, I ended up paying for the Bilstein 6112s front and rear full set plus installation at a local off-road shop... the day before Ford announced the recall on the leaking shocks.

My dealership wrote a check and paid the full cost for my 6112s, and made it pretty easy. Gave them receipts and the check showed up a week later.

I just wonder what these would have been like, but I guess Ford wouldn't have paid for them now that the recall is in place

FWIW I swapped a set of Fox Hoss 3.0 takeoffs onto our non-sas 2.3L Black Diamond and gained roughly 2" of ride height in the front and 1" in the rear making it sit very close to level. The Fox shocks ride and perform great. Also, I do not run the rear sway bar and think the handling is fine.

*edit* I also added 6mm spacers to the top of the rear shocks to help keep it level when gear is loaded in the back (adds 8mm at wheel)

I just realized these are available from Ford Performance for my Non-Sas OBX. You used take-offs, from what I read? And you had to use rear spacers? I wonder if the Ford Performance set would have the same issues with the rears being too short?

@RagnarKon what more have you found out? Would these be a comfort improvement over the Hitachi shocks, in addition to the lift?

2021 models don’t have the mounting locations for a rear swaybar. I don’t see any information about the install in the instructions. But, the kit says it’s compatible with 2021…hmmm

Has anyone figured this out (non-sas OBX)? The parts photo shows the mounting brackets attached to the sway bar. Does this mean that an installer or dealer could drill the holes, find the fasteners and mount the sway bar on my non-sas OBX?

It’s the mounting brackets for the end links that are MIA for early 2021. I believe all November 2021+ has them.
