What a timely post! I've been sleeping in my truck the past week in some parks and I found a setup to fit diagonally in the back of the truck while it was raining! I push the passenger seat all the way up and chuck my duffel bags in the floor cavity. This fills in the space so I can position my sleeping bag and pillow over diagonally and fit inside!

Milwaukee M18 job site fan is awesome for keeping wet wood burning, skeeters from you, and air moving in the tent or vehicle.
Yeah I have the Ryobi version but my buddy has the Milwaukee and man does that little thing move some air.

I'm a big fan of using my on board air for fire tending purposes.

I have been saying this for years: You can sleep comfortably in a two door! You figured it out perfectly: slide the front seat all the way up and sleep diagonally. I’m 6’3” and I get my best sleep in my two door; went camping last weekend just to get some rest. DeepSleep mattress is key.

If you're sleeping solo, I'm a big fan of the in-vehicle hammock from @Meraki Hammocks . That, and a cheap clip-on awning from Bezos-Mart have done me right overlanding as they leave me more space for beverages and recovery gear. It also places you sleeping above the cargo floor, so it makes setting up a quick process instead of clearing out half the floor.

This is handy if you are a ground tent sleeper. Instead of beating the tent stakes into the ground and having to pry them back out when you pack up, use 10" lag bolts instead. I carry an impact wrench when I travel and use that to drive them. I cannot tell you how much better it is than trying to drive beat up tent stakes into rocky soil. I have a nice Gazelle tent that packs up in about 2 minutes versus 10-15 with regular stakes. Also, the bolts don't turn into a pretzel when you hit a rock under the surface.

Save your dryer lint in a Ziplock as easy fire starter 'kindling'. Spritz in some Tiki oil for a guaranteed fire starer that is as good as gasoline, burns longer, and usually smells way better.
That's a great idea! Never thought of it. Will also remember that for when we do bonfires in the backyard.

This is a solid idea. I have some of the harbor freight stakes and they offered a huge upgrade over the gazelle stakes (which I would not recommend using). I also always keep my impact in my offroad / camping gear so I may need to just stop at the hardware store on the way home.

Sorry
I meant the unevenness between the cargo area and the folded down rear seats, what did u use to level that to support the mattress
I sleep in my roof top tent.

This is my first go at a platform to even out the floor for my Luno mattress originally from my Bronco Sport. For the prototype I just used stuff I had in my garage, minus the "carpet" I ordered on Amazon. On the left I strap down my fridge (hence the holes so I can access the tie downs. I’m still working out how I would do a second version.

My first thought when I saw those holes was, "Huh, cupholders. Cool."

But tiedowns makes sense, too.
