Im interested in adding gauges to the center console - maybe oil temp and pressureI'm very interested in how you would integrate the gauges. I want them in a location where they can be seen with just glance of the eye. Please share your ideas.
Looks like a couple of 2" dia. gauges would fit down there and make a clean install. The location, for me, however, is to low and out of line of sight. I don't want to take my eyes of of the trail/road for more than a second or less to get a reading.Im interested in adding gauges to the center console - maybe oil temp and pressure
Looks like there could be enough room... theres 2"++ on either side both vertical and horizontal

Good idea, except there is usually a lot of screaming going on. It's hard to hear !!!ask your passenger to check!
.... gauge-look fatigue ... wha?!Planning on sticking my Banks iDash on a superlow mount that uses the grab handle screws just ahead and slightly left of where your mount is. Wiring is going to be ... interesting, but I hope not to have to drill too much, probably just the speaker grille.
The alerts, when programmed, flash the whole gauge face and buttons, so the gauge-look fatigue is not a factor.
Not hard at all. The parts just pop loose. Start in the door jam and work your way up.How hard was getting into the A pillar cover that you drilled into? Going to start putting together the dash/cluster/wheel upgrades, one of which is the iDash and pod.
I, NOT the OP, will will offer an answer--to be better informed.. My Brapter does indeed have very detailed OP and oil-temp. gages that can be added in the My Gages options, but these mechanical gages are a good substitute.Genuine question so please forgive my ignorance, what is the point of these?
To answer my own question, the A-pillar vent grille is a SOB to get out and you'll probably break at least two tabs. If they are the top ones, though, it will still fit flush, by sliding the bottom in and gently bending the remaining retention tabs. How hard was getting into the A pillar cover that you drilled into? This is what the variety of dash mounts available are for!To answer my own question, the A-pillar vent grille is a SOB to get out and you'll probably break at least two tabs.
