Looking for Advice and Ideas on outfitting my Bronco for Hunting and Fishing. I have never owned a SUV style vehicle always pickup trucks. What ways have you customized your bronco to be better suited for hunting and fishing? Fly Fishing and Upland are probably the two i spend most time on but also do some big game and conventional fishing as well. Pictures of what you've done would be fantastic. Below are some of the questions i had, but also any other things you've found helpful.

- Transporting Rods Conventional and Fly Rods
- Kennels for Brid Dogs
- Secure storage of firearms
- Transporting Game harvested
- Storage of hunting and fishing gear
- For extended trips is it worth it to remove the second row seats and re install after vs just folding down?
- Roof Rack recommendations for a soft top
So... overlanding with a fishing pole?

Do you have this in yours? looks nice and would be a great way to store the shot gun as we move around.
I don't, but it's something I've been considering.

That's not a Bronco. :bandit:
Nope. My Ram 1500. Looking for advice on outfitting my 4door bronco to replace my truck. Only ever hunted out of the truck so hoping people in the forum can provide me with proven ideas. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thank you! I also came to the same conclusion and use Velcro to hold the front now, and I'm using the red locking side for both front and rear. it's way easier to load that way.
Could you share the link to your original build? Would like to know what materials you used and use your design if that is okay. Thanks

So I had to post several different photos to show you what I have done for overlanding, fishing and hunting.

For sleeping I used the sleeping mats from DeepSleep. They are great, fit perfectly and provide good back support. I use sheets and a blanket instead of a sleeping bag when car camping (more comfortable IMHO)

picture when I am “in bed” I am 6-1 and just barely fit lengthwise. I have to scoot the driver seat all the way forward

I don’t use a plugin refrigerator, I just bring a cooler and keep it on the right side , and sleep on the left side. (notice how much room is unused at the top of the Bronco in the picture below. You can see the rifle in a sleeve just to the left of the cooler as well. That has been moved to the top in future photos)

as for firearm and fishing pole storage, I have a separate thread on that but the cliff notes version is I use the M2M attic shelf as the rear mount point, and the DV8 overhead molle panel for the forward mount point and then use bungee cords to mount my rifle and/or fly rod at the roof of the Bronco.

The fly rod and rifle are stored high enough that they don’t block vision out the back. Sorry these pics show the cheesy rope that ties the shotgun case and rod case to the M2M shelf and the "hail mary bar" of the DV8 molle panel. I could not find the photos when I added bungee cords.

This setup works great for me.

This is what my future wife asked for after our first camping trip in my old truck with a camper shell. It ended up being a lot more comfortable, and with two people there was plenty of warmth. However, we weren't camping in really cold weather on those trips, unlike some of my solo trips.

I didn't want hooks in my vinyl seats, so this is what I ended up with. 4x4 Truck LED'S sells em. Holds 2 and they sell driver and passenger side. Can open the hood with them in place.
What prerunner bar is that?

JCR Offroad. Just under 2 years old.

Unfortunately, I'm having problems with the powder coat flaking off. Shared with JCR, who told me fix it with Rust-Oleum.

While I acknowledge its out of warranty, I would also expect for quality and workmanship not to fail after such a short time. But I digress.
