Goodyear Tires Stock 35"

Does anyone like these or should I replace them now. So far, I am not a fan, and I keep hearing people are puncturing them. I do rock crawling and do air down?

There is a market for them. They have their pros and cons. If you do a lot of sharp rocks gardens and the like you may be better suited getting something beefier sooner than later.

I recognize their positives which include light weight so less unsprung mass for on road performance, tread that just works here in the desert Southwest, and while I have lost one it was a situation where I don’t think any tire would’ve survived.

Throw in the fact that they’re $100 (or more) less each than what people typically replace them with and I just might end up buying another set, We’ll see.

Folks are in two camps regarding the 35” oem Goodyears. Some hate them and have had nothing but problems. Personally, I liked them and had no trouble whatsoever with them for 35k miles. Probably had another 15k miles left. They took me everywhere I asked including jeep badge of honor trails in Ga (Beasley Knob) and NC (Uwharrie - Dickie Bell & Daniel), Death Valley National Park, Sand Hollow State Park in Utah, and Top of the World, Fins & Things and a number of lesser trails in Moab. I routinely aired down to 18 lbs. They did throw rocks for the first few thousand miles, but nothing I found troublesome. Replaced them at 35k miles for BFG KO2 and their somewhat stronger sidewalls. But, they’re heavier and come at a cost, namely 1 mpg worse fuel mileage (if that’s important to you).

We generally wheel alone and, as one who hedges his bets, I decided to replace mine for peace of mind when I started doing harder Moab trails including Steel Bender, Poison Spider, Rose Garden Hill, etc.

You have to decide what works for you.

In my case I don't care for them because they throw rocks like crazy. I live 10 miles down a dirt road and even with mud flaps I can hear the impacts..

Honestly I really liked them. Rocks were the only downfall, they did well at everything else for me

False marketing claims aside, the stock 315's are not 35's.. Not even close..

The stock Goodyear's are well known rock slingers but they are pretty lightweight. If you off-road, I'd consider something different as the sidewalls are also pretty thin and puncture easily..

It’s worth mentioning that the OEM Goodyear RT on the 2025 SAS are a new tread design and not the same as the ones on prior year Broncos, so there is limited experience of others to draw from.

This is true of all of them. In other words, it is part of the market - all “35’s” are really about 34.4 > 34.6 inches. Don’t take my word for it, use any good tire site to verify dimensions of various brands such as:

I thought we’d already been through this with this picture. Width and construction aside, on the rims and at pressure all the tires in this pic will ride at 34.4 > 34.6 inches, the normal range for what the market says is a “35”.

As a new BL/SAS owner with just a few thousand miles on a MY25, and maybe 5-6 easy-moderate trail excursions, I’ll just say I haven’t found anything to really complain about with the *new* Goodyears (yet). Yeah, they pick up rocks, but that’s what I’d expect with the tread. Not too bad, honestly. Not sure I’d want to run a wider block pattern as I’m more likely going to be in snow than mud come winter. Are they weak and prone to puncture? I guess so, according to multiple reports here, but maybe that’s also an airing down and type of trail choice. Nothing about my experience so far makes me hate them enough to motivate me to run out and immediately spend a couple thousand on new tires and and put these on the garage shelf. There are too many other mods I need to buy!

Sold my five with only 600 miles in for $950. I live on gravel roads & wasn't happy with the horrible popcorn machine my truck sounded like, even after hitting the pavement. Went with Toyo OC AT3 35x11.50s with 1.25 spacers. They are almost as light as the GYs and are 10x better as far as rock chucking. Also added front flaps which should help save the side of the truck.

Those are some special wheels if they can shrink the nittos that much!

My guess at this “illusion” is that the Ridge Grapplers are E rated and sit on top of each other without deforming. The GYs are a great OEM option if gas mileage is your goal. I’ve seen too many lame punctures on them in this forum to go buy a set though.
