How about buying an eight dollar bag of oce melt for your driveway?

I do put sand on the nasty parts but the incline is fairly steep during that part of the driveway... and sometimes it's hard to see the edges of your driveway because of all the snow... I live in the bush so it's like I 4 x 4 every day.... and a nasty pot hole road out.... in the winter, I never take it out of 4 weel drive.

I really hope you are not running the OBX street tires.

That being said as others have stated you would need to match the front and rear gearing so it would be two diffs you are buying.

I would be willing to bet you can find a take off bumper or even a nice new bumper plus the winch and still be well under the cost of install, parts, and software needed to do the axle swaps.

Problem is with my Outer Banks. It has the sensors and the adaptive, cruise control module, and the front facing camera so bumper choices are limited and the bumpers are pricey.... I think the modular bumper could work with a bunch of rework, then you have the extra weight upfront... I think it would be OK, because I just changed to the 6112's new tie, rods, and upper control arms so I should be good to go.....

This is true. Front lockers are more expensive though, I think is what we are trying to say.

So what you’re really saying is your other Ford needs glow plugs and a block warmer. Maybe some fuel additive.

right, I priced out the modular bumper. It came out to. 4000.00 CAN without the hex bolts bracketing and tax....lol getting a used one in the north it's pretty much a dream..... makes the aftermarket bumpers look cheap at 1500 to 2500 then of course the winch 500 to 1500 rough country makes an under the bumper mounting system, but it's about six or 700. I don't like the idea of my winch being under the bumper with all the rain, snow and mud. Thank you guys so much. I think I got my answer. Bumper and winch it is it is. Either that or suffer and get a new badlands in a couple years, problem is, I can't give up all my accessories once I have my bronco fitted out...lol

Yeah kind of a shame that the Ford Performance modular bumper doesn't officially support all those doodads up front - but plenty of folks here have made it work. If you have the Capable bumper, the Ford Winch setup will work with that, @RagnarKon has a post telling how to make that work.

If you have the plastic bumper though - yeah, need to look for options. A lot of third party options there really, depending on what style you like.

Look up this Part Number and see what you get on pricing. I can imagine it costs more than in the US, but $4,000 CAD seems steep.

Using this part would require a third party bracket for the ACC module, and require drilling holes for the front parking sensors - but again, plenty of people here have made it work. But apart from that has all the brackets and bolts, and even a replacement front skid plate. In the US it's really fairly reasonably priced.

(note, M-17757-BMP is coming "soon", and that will support all your front bumper doodads without needing to drill holes and get third party brackets)

I haven't seen the Chinesium knock-off mod bumpers in a while. The guy I bought mine from appears to have some more stock on Amazon (Kuafu) - a nice cheap option, if you are willing to put in a bit more work - and doesn't necessarily come with everything the FP kit does. But, it is identical to the official Mod bumper, minus the Bronco bolts, and it worked just fine with the official Ford winch setup.

I'm not a huge fan of the tucked winches myself. I think they look great, but it seems they should be in-line with the frame if you really plan on using them, and unfortunately, that means they are gonna stick out of the front like a fat lip. But I'll take function over form in this case

Ford offers a M210 front axle assembly as an upgrade to non-sas Broncos. Comes in the correct gear ratio with the e-locker. You'll need the ford performance tuner to "add" the axle to your Bronco.

You get what you pay for, I won’t deny that. But if your expectations are in the right place it’s a very viable option.

Mine shipped with an incorrect bracket, the guy refunded me what it cost to order the correct bracket from Ford (it ended up being the Easter egg bracket), so I wasn’t out anything on that. And I repainted mine entirely and used my own 10.9 bolts throughout. For just $250 and some elbow grease I certainly didn’t complain too much.

He's in the Northwest Territories. Ice melter won't work for him. His temperatures get down to -30 °C or -22 °F. That's Fuuuuucking cold!!!!
