I had a fuel pump fail on me back in 2023 while I was out in the Nevada desert exploring some old mining and BLM fire break roads in my 2022 Badlands. The tow truck driver was able to get to where I was and get turned around enough so he could pull me up onto his flat bed. When I got to my Ford dealer in Vegas, I asked the Service Tech if he had seen any other bad fuel pumps on Broncos and he told me that up to that time, mine was the fourth. My question is, does Ford know the particular Lot Numbers that these bad fuel pumps fall into and do the dealers keep track of the Lot Numbers of the new ones that are replacing the bad ones?
Only Ford knows the information, not something dealerships track or worry about.

I think I’m just outside the window on this one.

So we shouldn’t be driving our Bronco’s while awaiting a fix? Are there aftermarket fuel pumps available to have them replaced sooner?

I’m a late 22 build before the 23 switch over. Looks like I’m not affected. Whew.

Hopefully ford has the parts.

So I'm guessing that the pump I purchased recently, with the latest revised PN, should be good to go? I'm also guessing that the reason Ford is saying that a replacement is not available is because they don't have enough on hand to call everyone in? Thanks.

I don't know. Parts information has not been released. The bulletin I posted is all the information I have at this point until the full bulletin is released.
It's completely possible the recall part number will be different.

My 2021 has been at the dealership for 3 weeks waiting on a new fuel pump, I was told that they are on back order. Now I’m thinking about trading it in for a raptor, not sure if the wife will agree though but all a guy can do is try

I’m also up to three recalls. My concern is now getting the work done when the parts become available. Seems to me the dealers are going to be awfully busy. 2-3 hours for the fuel pump, 2-3 hours for the rear shocks, 1 hour for the camera. One tech, all day, one vehicle….. we’re going to need more techs.

Hours are a guess on my part

Is the part number for the fuel pump itself different for earlier or later year Broncos?

Seeing this recall, I wonder if this caused the “Bucking Bronco” issue some people reported. Had it on mine/still do. It’s infrequent hesitation during acceleration when first driving it. Could never duplicate the issue for the dealer, so fingers crossed this is the fix.
