Here’s a Sneak peek!

I know it took forever but we finally feel we have a premium solution for all those who have asked for a Water resistant solid bimini top.

Made of the same premium twill fabric used in the making of a Bronco soft top! This fabric is expensive but it’s been proven to provide years of driving excellence and premium performance.

I’ll post more as we get closer to the Saturday March 1st release date.

For now here is a peek!

Wish we could get a descent soft too that can be taken on and off and can fold all the way back.

Hey Mike @JTopsUSA, I noticed you had a Raptor version with the cross brace. Can you share any more details about that one?

I have a Goat Fab cross brace on my Badlands. I’m guessing you probably didn’t test fit for this condition but to have a shot I’m guessing I would need to order the Raptor version?
Well we did not test that. If it fits just like the Raptor cross brace it should be just fine.
looking at photos as long as the bolts line up with the bolt holes on the roll cage I see no reason it would not fit.

I’m hoping any tonneau cover for the 2 Dr will cover the whole rear with the back seats folded down and not just the lil section behind the rear seats….but unfortunately most aftermarket companies seem to ignore that the 2 Dr exists just because there are less of us.

The Jeep tonneau covers do this, but I would like a version that could fold to do both.

Put my hardtop back on today leaving this solid Bimini on. Easy Peasey, no issues, everything lines up nicely.

Also got caught in a rain storm in El Paso couple of weeks ago. This top did especially well for the front seat passengers, but the rear seat passengers got more water on them. Worst case scenario however, strong downpour and a lot of sitting at red lights. If we could’ve kept moving at something more consistently it would have been even better.

Rain blowing in from the back you think? Seems like it has good coverage. I haven’t had time to install mine. It’s still in the box and I’m hesitant to install it without the tonneau cover; I don’t want the cargo area to get soaked.

That was a small contributing factor. Another was the gaps which allow access to the rear panel latches. The main factor was the fact that the water would 'pool' a bit on cover when we were sitting at long lights, and when we moved forward it would move and drip on the rear passengers.

Still, it's easy to overemphasize it - my daughter and her friend complained but looking at them you could hardly tell they were caught out in a rain storm. The top did a good job given this was an honest downpour. Once we got on the interstate it was just about as good as having the hard top on. Sure water trickles down here and there, but I never had to wipe my glasses to see or even shift in my seat to get away from a stream, etc.

I did this today, and wasn't terribly excited about the results. The thickness of the plastic they put in where the hard top bracket attaches, makes the hard top sit up enough that the seal doesn't make contact anymore on the end where the bracket is. This leaves a gap, that while I haven't driven it yet, but seems like it might make a fair amount of noise and possibly collect rain/spray going down the road.

I've reached out to them to see if they have a fix or solution for this, but I'm curious if you see the same gap, and have any extra road noise or leaking.

@Rhyas , I just looked at mine at this point (drivers side just above the B pillar) and the hard top is pressed against the seals normally (which themselves are pressed against the vehical)- no gap/separation as in your pick. Walking around looking at everything it all is mated up well. FYI

Thanks for chatting today Mike. I did the re-alignment process you suggested, and even found the ford process and took a stab with that. In the end, with those methods, I couldn't get the middle section of the top to seal.

I dont know why, but with the bimini top under the bracket, it caused the inside of the bracket to be elevated ever so slightly. It wasnt sitting flat.

I ended up bending the bracket down on the back latch ever so slightly, and that let the clip pull far enough down to seat the seal. Alternatively I could have shimmed the outside of the bracket with something, and probably gotten the same result.
