I joined the forum solely to ask your opinions. I am considering ordering a 7MT 4dr Badlands Sasquatch. Please shed any light you can on the 7MT Sas on a 4 dr. Any comparisons would be appreciated to the 2.7 auto. Manual is one of the reasons I’d order and a 2dr is not an option for me. I need 4dr and I would only go with the Badlands Sas. I’ve also considered a Grenadier but am leaning towards the Bronco now, heavily due to the MT. Thanks in advance for any feedback. My current XTerra is a manual and ready to give up the ghost so this is the logical replacement. I do drive fast, but not a deal breaker as long as there’s enough umph.Mine came in a week ago. Love the 7sp!

Sorry, I do not have much experience with the 2.7. I did drive one briefly when initially looking at the Broncos, and did not feel a noticeable difference from the 2.3. I can tell you that I am absolutely satisfied with the power output of the 2.3 manual. I also have a few high performance cars.I joined the forum solely to ask your opinions. My fear was that they’d feel too sluggish. There are several MT 2dr Sas around but with 4 doors, they seem to be almost non-existent, making test driving one impossible. I've test driven both engines with the auto. The 2.7 has a nice strong and broad and powerband in the middle rpm range. I felt the 2.3 was adequate for my purposes but I loved the power of the 2.7. However, the two Broncos were different trims with different axle ratios so the comparison isn't quite fair.I joined the forum solely to ask your opinions. Oh man, don't give in. Keep the faith! I'm so glad my dealer found my 2024 BB out of state and nailed it down for me last November. They (rightly) warned me that there may be problems getting a 2025 manual (especially in a 2-door).Despite ordering early November, mine isn't scheduled. I'm hoping the 4/28 builds go on schedule as maybe I can get into the 2nd batch of manuals but if those dates get pushed back, one has to wonder how many 2025 manual transmission Bronco's will be build. I'm considering switching to the automatic but I don't know if I want to settle.
Rest assured that the 2.3 is not sluggish! I added the ProCal4 to mine (also a manual) which puts it at 330hp and something like 385 pound-feet of torque. I took a buddy of mine out for a spin in it, and am still cleaning his seat...My fear was that they’d feel too sluggish. You will be happy w/ the 2.3 & 4.70 gears. Once you get it broken-in don't be afraid to put the RPMs to it, the little 2.3 loves it.I've test driven both engines with the auto. I have a 2.3 Badlands with manual on its way to the dealer. I haven't actually been able to drive the manual yet, since I haven't seen any at dealers since I started looking well over a year ago.
I gave in months ago. My automatic equipped Bronco was build week of 06/02 and is awaiting shipment after being on quality hold for the month of June. There's no telling where my order would be today if I stuck with the manual. I'm actually okay with the auto as I'm driving a manual 23 Civic Si as my daily right now anyway and that car has one of the best manual transmissions on any car at any price.Oh man, don't give in. Not sure where to look for that, but I don't know why it wouldn't be. Below is a photo of it.@ggjjr can you confirm you received the new MPC 2.3L engine with the manual?
Yep that's the new 2.3L MPC engine, easiest way to tell is the intercooler pipe routing. Not sure where to look for that, but I don't know why it wouldn't be. Below is a photo of it.
Aluminum valve cover is also dead giveaway although the biggest giveaway is that it's a 2025 model as Ford is no longer supplying the old 2.3L engine in the Bronco.Yep that's the new 2.3L MPC engine, easiest way to tell is the intercooler pipe routing.
